  1. Why are they idiots? If it's more money than sense, so what. At least the okes are out riding and enjoying it.
  2. Good thing I escaped the finish line before the boa descended!
  3. Dude you only posted about an hour ago, bear in mind that the 94.7 Mountain Bike Challenge is also on. Theres a difference between rebuilding the entire bridge structure and repairing a few planks. Don't forget the liability as well, we all saw this already with the drama lama over the original see-saw. Try letting City Parks know as well http://www.jhbcityparks.com/ City Parks switchboard: (011) 712-6600 complaints or requests: (011) 375-5555
  4. "Will kill for bike spares" By the by, towards the end of the ride some may think I'm pouting wheras I'm actually in pain and trying to smile through it.
  5. Perhaps it's symbolic

  7. All cool by the pool... it's a scene that had/has plenty of wild characters. Luckily some are still around today. Some of them even do work for MTV
  8. Nay never, Dino is a nick I've had since school days.... Used to work the scene for a while and organised a few small scale events. Never touched the turntables or CDJs though.
  9. Damit.... now I'll have wear my Thursday tuxedo, luckily it's the same as my Friday tuxedo
  10. Nah theres still some good stuff around, although it's pretty much more underground these days. People still cling to old trance days, but the music has evolved. The Rockitt vs Robot partys in CT and Jhb are decent and Carfax hosts some stellar events. I went off the CT scene when certain promoters advertised headline acts from CT who never even knew about the event. Still, the last few years there been some good events. Like the Global Underground with James Zabiela and the one party at the Castle of Good Hope with Pacha. Kat killed the scene
  11. We partied at 330 twice, we flew up from CT to go with the owners of Tilt (no names mentioned) to party for the weekend and then they would come here to cape town and do the same and eventually the owners opened a Tilt in CT but never really worked. 330 was good alittle dingy but good. Ah Tilt, that was another good one. 330 decor wise was never going to win awards, but for it's vibe and sound it always had a top rep. "Rave" is term that was thrown around to define electronic music, trance was the first form of this. Thats why today the most accurate definition is EDM, of which house is a product. Most of what now deemed 'classics' are the old trancey and housey tracks from the MOS, Topstar and Camel days..... Still, gotta say I'm pleasently surprised to see a number folk on here who are/were in the scene, so to speak.
  12. Since the Seychelles has been postponed I'll be there.... There shall be homicide and blood in the dust should anyone try to pin a nametag on me.
  13. Boiler Room... went there once, loved it. Nothing comes close to ol 330 though. Nexus is now ESP Nexus, or just ESP.
  14. As far as I know, yes.
  15. I still love the Spruit for it's own reasons, something like this park though just gives Jozi mountain biking an extra dimension! .....
