  10. Technically its supposed to apply to any UCI sanctioned ride but PPA like all events don't enforce this due to it being a mission to do.It is enforced at League on a spot check method. It is enforced at at all National Level It is in place to avoid the youngsters burning out and hurting themselves by damaging their knees etc. Medical doctors on the hub welcome to fill in the blanks here. And to nitpick but the limit is 52x14
  11. Riding it there would be the fun option but the old man wants the bike new not second hand due to my horrific MTB skills. Googling the answer to the Tax question seems to be a little bit confusing but from what I gather it is Zero Rated in an effort to promote bicycling(nice country). Do I need to notify SAA that I am bringing a bike ?

  21. Does the threat contained in this? alleged email , allegedly attributed to one Brandon Els not smack of anti-competitive behaviour? Should the competitions board not be interested in this (as well)? Exactly the opposite of ant-competitive behaviour i would say. Whats more competitive than telling your opposition that you will crush them. selling at a loss with the sole intent just to drive somebody out of the market is not on as far as what I understand things.... Agreed it aint morally right but it is not illegal as far as i am aware.
  22. ? this makes sense then that there were so many juniors from cyclelab ........still imho youngsters don't need to go thru that mental barrier yet. they need to enjoy/play at that age and in?dc no-one enjoys last 30-50kms. The junoirs from the lab were 18 or 19 . They rode a leisurely 8 hours.? But i agree no youngster under 18 should be riding longer than 160 Pilks2008-11-23 10:42:51
  23. Well if you look at the results from last year all the riders had a team assigned to them after the name. This requires a little more work and isnt a matter of click click and it done. They need the list from PPA , which takes time. They then need to adjust the times and the teams for the penalties given out. Penalties being teams members? finishiong more the than 2 min apart neeed 20 min and teams drafting other teams. , Then they load it up This all sounds pretty simple but you looking at about 2 hours of work. But i agree that the unedited results could of been put up soon afterwards Pilks2008-11-23 07:49:58
