  1. I would really like to thank manbearpig for giving me one of his chainring bolts after I lost 3 of mine so I could finish the Ultra. You Sir are a true gentleman and I owe you a few cold ones! Cheers, Doug.
  2. Send PYGA an email. I had the same issue with my Zero29 and after contacting Pat it was agreed that I could drill a small hole below the BB to let the water out without any warranty issues..
  3. I would just like to take this opportunity to publicly thank all those good people who put time into making the Spruit a really great ride! I don't claim to have the best bike skills and sometimes I find myself seriously tested on my HT. But I rode the Spruit yesterday and tried every jump and bern I could find I even came close to playing lawn darts with myself a couple times and even then it was a fantastic ride! So if you do happen to put your name on a section I will happily buy you a beer! Keep up the great work!
  4. Guess they are waiting for someone with deep pockets..
  5. If I had a few $$ lying around I might just wait a week and invest in the land.. Sadly I don't but I am all in for a group ride through the area as an excuse for said refreshments.. The area looks to good just to completely ignore it and I guess there is always safety in numbers!
  6. Thanks for all the info, I had my concerns about the possibility of the dodgies.. Any open area like that is unfortunately going to attract the wrong type of person which is annoying because it looks like a great place for a enduro/xc type loop. I will stick to VG for now. Cheers.
  7. Hi Guys, I just trying to find out if anyone rides on the open ridge east of the N1 Highway and north of the Kloof Medi-Clinic in Erasmuskloof? I am very keen to try it out, but I am not sure if its closed off or worse unsafe? Cheers!
  8. Make a plan! Its in your backyard!
  9. I would also like to piggy back on this thread. I have bounced around Cycle shops in the Pretoria area, the first experience is always a good one but on return its never the same. However with Lynnwood Cyclery I have always had a great experience. Had all my bikes serviced there, always got more value than I expected with great interactions. Thanks Lynnwood Cyclery Plus its 5min from my house...
  10. MTB: No matter how long or hard the climbs are just being on my bike is reward enough! The beers and laughs post ride are also a good motivator!
  11. Now that this thread has pretty much died I would assume because most of you are enjoying riding your new PYGA's. I have finally collected together all the parts I have wanted to build up my Zero29.. And so the build shall begin as soon as I can find the time. I will post pictures as and when I can but here is a list of whats getting put together... Medium Zero29 frame Full XT group set (Black) Black Fox F29 Float Stans Crest rims with red Hope2 hubs Red Crank Brother candy peddles Red and black Crank Brothers Cobal Stem Truvati Carbon Noir Handle bar Black ESI grips..
  12. Thanks guys, I priced the wheel set and its about R1500 cheaper unless there a duties on wheel sets that I am not aware of. I Have been working with 14%vat and the shipping charge..
  13. Hi All, I am looking at getting a new wheel set from Merlin Cycles in the UK. And was wondering whether anyone had bought anything from them and what you experience was? Thanks!
  14. Hi, I have not got an 800 myself but did some research a while back on free base maps for the unit. You can do a Google search and there is lots of help out there to get free base maps onto the unit. You can also start at http://openmtbmap.org/ its has a lot of information you just need to dig a little. Enjoy!
