  1. Saw a fairly large individual cramping the one year at the Amashova on a climb so blady he literally fell over onto the sidewalk - another rider stopped, handed him two Rennies. I didn't see him again until the end of the race. I finished the race awhile already and the individual that had been cramping finished the race - legs intact!! So I guess the Rennies do work..
  2. Know what you mean Wannabe.. got a new pair of cycling shoes as my X-mas present!! Completely stoked!
  3. I was a big blader myself.. prefer power to spinning but I'm realising it just ain't the way to go.. Good thing I'm not stubborn and I'm willing to take constructive advise. Lighter gears for me from now on..!! Thanks DT
  4. It's to the front of the knee. I had a set-up done last week and we lifted my saddle by half a centimeter... so that should help.. thanks Captain Dura
  5. I have been cycling for about 5 years now but never anything serious - but this last year I've set myself goals. Trained through winter so as to maintain fitness. Now - my problem is, i've just reached a comfortable fitness level and I'm ready for the first few local 100km races in January - my right knee starts paining!! Every downward stroke I can feel I'm loosing power. It's not the ITB, it's the tendon joining the hamstring to the knee.. My question is - how do I keep on training without causing any more damage and what can I do to get this to go away before racing in Jan?? Any suggestions?
  6. I know there's a group ride leaving from Kevin Evans' bike shop at 05:00 in the mornings.. they take the road past Old Nick and out to Natures Valley Toll Gate..
  7. Will definitely keep that in mind - thanks Texas Sally.. So Bruce is the one I need to contact if I need to enforce a little sadism in a training program?
  8. i take it then the Power Meter is a good idea for a x-mas present..
