Sometimes chewing can become very hard on longish rides, that why suck gel is easier for me. Unless the chew is soft.

i suck one before the race and 1 on every hour, it makes it easier to calculate the time, otherwise you gonne go mad trying to keep up with every 45min calculation and when you get really tired you can’t count. but it will all depend on you.

Sorry, I’m a breedt’s virgin, don’t know the place at all. I have a 4x2 with diff-lock with ample clearance. The driver could always stay put for the group to return and the join in again.

If someone can bring a driver, I will offer my bakkie as support vehicle to carry all the extras, food, water, spares….

Yip, I can also say thanks for the assistance. I had a mechanical at the 20km mark and couldn’t finish the marathon. I was picked up by a bakkie and taken back to the venue.

Eish man, good luck. Go to Dischem Midrand and see the dispensary manager, she treated a very awful wound of mine and it healed brilliantly. The wound she treated healed better than any other wound I had. She is also kinda known amongst my friends as “the wound fixer”. Hope you heal fast and get you back on your bike fast.
