How much offroad mileage are you doing ?

The 2008 streetmaps come standard in SA. The device works exactly as per the vehicle devices, with beep's instead of voice commands. It will autoroute, give you ETA, recalculate if you go wrong etc.

Same group are going this week: Wednesday 27 August 6pm at the gate

Normally 2or3 times a week. We had a group of 5 last night (20th), and were at the gates from 6:00 to 6:30. I'll post the next one here under group rides.

It's fine for mountain bike riding. I've done 1856km offroad so far. It's IPX7, so it's useable in the rain, and upto 1m deep for the bigger puddles you may go through. The mount uses Cable ties, so it will mount on anything that you can get a cable tie around. Again I'll say this, try www.easygis.co.za for the best prices and service.

Okay. Back on the topic, I'm not liking the way swimming appears to have "devalued" one of their most precious items, namely the world record. It's strange how a sport like cycling, where one would think there is more of an influence due to technology (than in swimming), does not have a new world record in nearly every single event....

were their cycling shorts designed by speedo by any chance ?

Passed +/- 10 people on the Jonkershoek road (6:10 - 6:30) Spoke to 2 people at the gate ( 6:33pm ) on my way in. Saw 2 people go past on the circle road (I was on the lower/inner circle road) at 6:50 Signalled some people from the WitBrig (they were at the top of Ellioti) at 7:01pm Saw some people at the top of canary (I was at the bottom) at about 7:30 Lastly, passed to guys going towards Jonkershoek at the Lanzerac hill at 7:42

I may have to update the rules to state "If you aren't signed up to ride, you don't get to vote". But then there'd be no voting
