I think it's exponential rather than just a straight inverse.

Both the Edge305 and Forerunner305 are IEC 60529 IPX7 rated. IPX7 means the GPS case can withstand accidental immersion in one meter of water for up to 30 minutes.

Not a problem at all. I went round on Saturday anyway. There was a window without rain from about 07h30 to 12h30 that was clear.
