  10. I found info on these... how cool are these shoes? This is from another site: The New Bont a-one cycling shoe is unlike any other shoe on the market. It is a hand made one piece construction that is incredibly light weight and strong. The shoe is based on Bont?s 33 year composite skate building expertise. Bont has made over 1 million pairs of carbon fiber ice and inline speed skates and is the world?s largest custom skate maker. The shoe is currently being worn by a number of Olympic and National team riders from Australia, Great Britain, Korea and US Pro team riders. These riders have given us extensive feedback on what they want from a performance based shoe. The shoes weigh just 250 grams including buckle. There will be 3 closing options: a) 2 Velcro straps and a top lace cover with buckle b) 3 Velcro straps (super light weight version at 225 grams) c) Laces and one top Velcro strap for the track (225 grams) The shoe is super stiff and has the highest strength/weight ratio for any bike shoe on the market. The shoe is made with a combination of uni directional and cross weave Torayca carbon using Bonts? famous 1 piece construction. Initially, Bont will offer two color options, red and blue, but we will soon follow them up with additional colors and also other material options for the outer skin. The cleat mounting comes with a standard 3 hole mount but you can re drill the carbon base and place the mounting anywhere you choose. You can also order the shoes as blanks with no holes drilled in them and you can drill them yourself. The last (plastic foot) that the shoe is based on is a combination of 20,000 laser foot scans and Bont?s 33 year last making experience. The shoe is fully heat moldable and can be molded in the oven. Bont develops its own thermo moldable resin in house and has computer aided resin mixes that calculate the exact hardener to resin ratio based on the air temperature. The shoe has 40 air vents per shoe (size 7) which go directly from the outside air to the foot with no mesh in between. The silver stripes down the length of the shoe that wrap around the back are reflective for increased visibility at night. http://bont.com/cycling/
