  15. Hi All Next Monday 5 December I will be joining about 30 other riders doing the 320km Charity Ride from Little Switzerland in the Berg to Durban... Its a one day - 12hr + ride... I have been putting in the training over the past 8 weeks... 3 x 45km + rides during the week and a long one + 100km's on the weekend... Im feeling strong but i have never ridden for more than 6 / 7hrs... This is not a race, its a ride with frequent stops to take on refreshments, stretch the legs and rest... Any tips on long distance road riding? What should i be taking on - liquids / food...
  16. Will Fit Supplements have a stand?
  17. Chaps, I wrote a nice email to Mr Devlin Fogg ( http://www.trailsolutions.co.za )this morning giving him my views - good and bad... I rode the 80km... The 46km's round the dam were fantastic - except for the bus that nearly flattened me on the one road section and the extra couple of km's I did when I got lost! The trip down to Durban was disappointing... The track after the new bridge was close to unrideable for most - including myself. And the sewage slosh made that section literally ***! To be honest I preferred last years trip down to Durban with the waist deep river crossing in croc infested water and the high ride over the old blue bridge... Durban is an amazing city, and this ride has some amazing potential... Its awesome to see parts of our City that we would never see, nevermind ride... Be thumbs up to Devlin and his team... They just need to tweek things... Oh and a HUGE Thank You to the very nice lady from Richards Bay that gave me a bomb at the 46km water table!
  18. Hi All... I recently started a charity organisation in Durban called The Kingdom Cycle. We have been collecting old, unwanted, dusty, rusty kiddies bikes in and around Durban. Giving them some much needed TLC, perma tubes and then distributing them into a settlement on the North Coast of KZN - Wangu. Check out our website - www.thekingdomcycle.wordpress.com or our Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Kingdom-Cycle/232839026755375 for all the details! Subscribe to our blog by submitting your email address on our website and we will keep you informed on all the latest happenings and how you can get involved. We are always looking for bikes & perma tube donations. If you live close by, give up a Saturday morning and help us fix up a bike... Thanks Stuart
