on the topic of expensive dogs. its always good to be able to get healt results ect from top dogs and im not really talking Kusa registered dogs here. SA has done bad for a lot of breeds..staffies..pitpulls..jackrussels has been bred over in same family circles that why is so important to get good inported lines. they are not cheap but it really down to choice. do you want a pet..a working pet..a rescue I have a daughter of a double world champ that that i imported from Slovenia. .she has costed me loads but it i love her the same a i loved my rescue Rocky i really miss that old man Boris has been good training takes lots of time at the moment and we really hope he will get the whole IPO thing
We have to dogs schools here that does IPO training, its not as big as in JHB 3phases, that would be great but we have to see if he has the drive for it and we have to still put in the hundreds of hours to get there
I still have one female puppy. KUSA registered..inoculations up to date. 10 weeks today. Only to approved homes. I will be traveling to Cape Town this coming week to fly a puppy up to Namibia. So if theres any interest please inbox me.
Mate There no easy way around this. Do whats best for the dog. I recently lost my favourite Rottweiler Rocky..it was shyte i cried for a few days and everytime i see a video of him i still get tears in my eyes. Do whats best for him..make sure if he has pain that you make the right call. Let the vet come to you place and do it there..be there for him till he passes away. Dont give him any heavy anti inflammatory medicine..normally at this stage it does more harm then good. My old man Rocky was still wagging his tail till the second last day..it doesn't mean hes fine..he is just happy to know you there for him All the best buddy
4 to max 8km Wont do more with big dogs. My dogs dont run that much more hikes Although when stuka was young he did some speedwork with me He got a 12:04 for a 3km but that was pushing it. Now he just tags along.
A few times a year we hike up the mountain behind George and it either Stuka or Alaska to go with 9km up climbing to 1200m above sea level. This was yesterday My wife Stuka and a few mates
