My first pure bred Rottie i got from a good 'breeder' We though she was great only to find out later she looks more like a Doberman than a Rottweiler. We had KUSA papers and all..so if we really wanted we could have bred with this dog because she had papers ect..knowing what i know now and looking at her paper she was a inbred from Benoni All kinds of funny family business. .lol She is still with us..she is such a mellow dogs with everything..after 18month her first knee ligaments went..we did the op and replaced ligament with mono..then one year later the second one. I learned my lesson the hard way

Getting a dog from a breeder means nothing its all about getting the bloodlines perfect and for about 4 generations back.Unfortunately staffies en sheepdogs were bred too much in sa without getting good genes in to make the genetics better

Food..Lots of unnatural stuff in there. Im going over to RAW at the moment..and not even from local meat like beef ect..those **** are full of hormones ect My dogs are only eating or will soon be on full gammon RAW food

Im not sure how long ago this was but i had 9 dogs chipped 2 years ago and they test every chip before they insert

All chips are injected into neck area..it the size of a rice drop and you can feel it if you really look for it. A vet should get any chip without hassles. .it doesnt expire. Last time i did my Rottie litter they were round R500 each. Expensive yes..but eorth every cent As for not putting a collar one..get mad i dont care..its just slapgat..thats like saying you picking up your kids at school and then you dont do it because you dont care. The few cases of dogs getting strangled was normally with dog wearing ckoked chains thats the wrong size. A leather or material coller sits even tighter so its way safer. You can either buy a collar with a stainless area on it..or you can buy them loose and attach them to harness. I did the last one to my 4 dogs. You put their name on it so someone can call it by name if it gets lost...on the back put your own phone number. They have had so many dogs coming into Rottie Rescue and for that matter at all rescue centers it crazy. Do the right thing and collar them atleast.

Please gents Chip your animals and get name tags around their necks. Im involved with a rescue organisation and its scary how many animals get lost and found but cant be return I silver name tag will cost you R60 rand thats it

My dogs are not allowed on the couches ect but they are allowed ..morning and evening on the bed till we chase them off. This is my male Stuka...he's PILLOW DRIVEN.. I work away from home for 6 months of the year and he will always lay on my side and on my pillow.
