  1. Just to point out, my Keo Carbons did come with the covers. But I'm lazy and dont always carry them around with me at the off chance I walk aroun in my shoes. But with the VERY minimal walking I have done on my cleats (as in put my foot down at the robots or walk out the house to the road), they have worn very rapidly...! Still great pedals- and would buy them all over again. The memory clip is a brilliant idea, only thing is only rediculously super-dooper expensive shoes (R3500+) have catered for this. Mr Look, where can one purchase those lekker cleats, and how much?
  2. I got the Keo Carbons, weigh 228g Nice pedals, thing is, I always struggle to get my cleat into them when pulling off - I think the balance isn't right and takes a few jabs to get them the right way up to "clip-in" Other gripe is the cleats dissolve like Eno's... Although, they're reasonably inexpensive, they dont lose any of their "clip-in-grip" like others do (as the cleat wears). Positive, dont feel glassy at all, where you put your foot is where it will stay. The perfect amount of friction between the pedal and cleat.
  3. Damn, so no-one likes it... Had one sitting in my garage and was going to give it away

  9. Thanks everyone for the positive comments! Slowpoke, doing much better thanks - Recovery is a slow, frustrating process though... TarmacPro, No didn't race yesterday, but looking to do some rides towards the end of the year.
  10. In March this year I had problems with my heart (at 27 years old!) and knew I was going to be out of cycling for a long time. So I decided to get a new bike, Retail therapy (NOT covered by medical aid).<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Just over 6 months later, thousands of South African Rand spent, many hours talking nonsense in bike shops, and this is the result. Many thanks to all who were involved, especially Deidre for allowing me to turn the dining room into a workshop and the kitchen sink into a wash-bay. http://i290.photobucket.com/albums/ll253/carlo_sg/IMG_0314.jpg COMPONENT MASSDESCRIPTIONBottom Bracket 101Shimano Dura-aceBrake Callipers 324Shimano Dura-aceCablesBrake109Shimano SIS Gear122Shimano SISCassette 176Shimano Dura-ace (11-23)Chain 270Shimano Dura Ace (110 links)CranksetCrankset686Shimano Dura-ace (53-39)Fork 346Easton EC90SLFrame* 972FELT FC (54cm)DerailleurFront76Shimano Dura-ace (Braze on) Rear187Shimano Dura-aceHandlebar 278ITM K-SwordHandlebar tape 52BontragerHeadsetA-headset52Cane Creek 1"1/8 Cap/Bolt/Spring15Easton EC90SL (Aluminium Bolt) Expander14Easton EC90SL Spacers18Carbon (35mm)Pedals 228LOOK Keo CarbonSaddle 142Selle Italia SLR Kit Carbon 120gSaddle Post 217FELT 1.1 Carbon (Titanium Hardware)Saddle Post Clamp 22FELT Aluminium (Titanium Bolt)Shift & Brake Levers 435Shimano Dura-aceSkewers 45KCNCStem 189ITM K-Sword (100mm)Tubes 106Bontrager XXX-LiteTyres 446Continental GP4000WheelsetFront808Mavic Cosmic Carbone SL Rear1012Mavic Cosmic Carbone SL Tape30Fond de Jante Valve Extention7Brass 50mmTOTAL 7485 (*Calculated from Total)
  11. Dougaroony, flip that's nice... Nice handlebars!!! You should get one of those ITM mounts for your polar (where it sits in the middle ahead of your stem), so everyone can see the EC90 sticker... Can't make out the seatpost - Is it an EC90?

  21. AAAhhhhhh.... Found out how it comes out... Tricky little bastard! For this Easton Expander bolt it doesnt require an allen key. What you do is: turn in the cap & bolt all the way, then loosen two or three turns then give it a forceful hit with your hand on the head of the bolt/cap. this pushes the cone down and releases the expander... Thanks for the help guys.
  22. Then what grease would you recommend for regular matainance of derailleurs' date=' shifters, bolts etc.[/quote'] What parts of derraileurs get grease on them? I would think the limiting screws, pulleys, spring, barrel adjuster, and perhaps between the moving parts (around the armature).
