  3. What do you notice about this picture.... ... Clinchers. Kysrium SL, R-SYS, Cosmic Carbone SL http://i290.photobucket.com/albums/ll253/carlo_sg/Tour08_1_Caduta3.jpg
  4. Not sure about the spokes, but the ones on my wheels are definately DT Swiss spokes. Front: Revolution [28 spokes - Radial] Rear: Revolution and Competition (drive side) [32 spokes - triple laced] Richard from CWC built them and he said the nipples were definately not Aluminium. I should actually find out what they, cos there is no "spoke freeze" or bonding now, and the wheels are perfectly true.
  5. Don't forget VAT aswell... I'm selling a set of the 350 Sprints with the 24mm rim profile for CHEAP CHEAP! Brand new 10km on them. Still under guarantee. Plus I had them built with alloy nipples so there are no issues with truing them! Includes some weight weenie goodies too https://www.bikehub.co.za/forum_posts.asp?TID=27447&KW= AM Classic Sprint 350 Wheelset, with original skewers 2x Bontrager XXX-Lite Tubes and lightweight (9g) crank fixing bolts - R3000 the above plus: 2x Vredestein Fortezza Superlight Tyres (185g each) - R3750carlo_sg2008-07-08 04:34:52
  6. If it makes you feel better and stops those hoity toity' date=' mamby pamby, arty farty, my crap don't smell people from looking down on you, yes, it is money well spend. [/quote'] HAHA! LOL!!! Brilliant... Yes, I had a RC3000 which used to get laughed at, but still rode it to sub-3
  7. the raleigh bikes for 2006 show the weights: RC3000 - 9.5kg RC7000 - 8.8kg I doubt the frames have changed much - the RC3000 is probably exactly the same now, just different paint. I reckon most of the 700g difference is between the tiagra and Ultegra groupset. The rear triangle is so small I dont think there is significant weight saving between the two
  8. Carrera Hercules - SMALL Dura-ace groupset with FSA Carbon -Pro team issue Crank R8500 https://www.bikehub.co.za/forum_posts.asp?TID=25486&KW=carrera

  10. http://www.conti-tyres.co.uk/conticycle/road_tyres/attack%20force/Resistance%20Fighters.pdf That settles the argument then...
  11. Think of it this way... The energy from the crash had to go somewhere. Like in this case, into your bike and into your helmet. Be thankful your bike took the crunch, not you (too much!). Glad you're still around to talk about it. Looks like an expensive mess. I hope you got insurance...!
  12. Just consider this... Ultegra SL = 2359g @ R7,000 Dura-ace = 2180g @R10,600 (-179g +R3,600) Record = 1961g @R17,000 (-398g + R10,000) Dont know what Red costs?

  14. Thanks man! Dont worry about your bike too much, I had a Raleigh RC3000 before this- which I did quite well on, before upgrading to this. Look forward to your pics. Not too much info on Felts around. Be keen to see who all is riding them and what they think. I think Felt Bikes are starting to generate a bit of interest now...
  15. Well spotted!!! Eish... Just checked now, put some spec weights down. Updating now with the measured weights. Stem: ITM K-sword Carbon: 187g
  16. Weighed it at TWO bike shops on those floor standing scales, both measured 7.160g
