  12. Sorry, please remind us what is happening tomorrow?
  13. Anyone notice that both Ag2r and Liquigas are using Mavic Cosmic Carbones Clinchers And, the Milram bikes look suspiciously underweight - Sram RED & Lightweights! Lance Armstrong's Livestrong Madone weigh's in at a suprisingly "heavy" 7.3kg

  15. The skewers are really light, but came apart after 6 months (luckily not while I was riding!) I had the valve extensions which didnt come with the oh-so-important O-rings, but i sourced these elsewhere. Didnt matter though, they machined down the end of the aluminium tube so narrow to save weight that my pump doesn't "grip" on it, and had to toss them anyway...

  17. Thanks man! I should try take it with me to a night club to pick up chicks...
  18. KCNC Skewers were definately 45g. 22g for the front, and 23g for the rear. Their website claims 44g http://kcnc-usa.com/content/view/24/41/ Ja, was thinking of dropping more weight, but it rides (and stops) really well, so dont fix it, if it aint broke! Thanks for the advice though Was thinking of matching the bars and stem to Easton as well... Easton EC90 SLX3 bars: 205g Easton EA90 Stem: 130g would save about 130g, but the K-sword stuff gets a lot of compliments, and is great to ride with.carlo_sg2009-01-22 01:36:15

  20. NOT FedEx! To them, Fragile means: Throw it around, drop it from a dizzy height, open to see whats inside, store it the direction opposite to the arrow, put really heavy objects on top of it, make sure the box is crushed and has more than one tear on each surface. Deliver to wrong address On correct delivery & inspection of the now-damaged-goods. Do not pay out the insurance, even if it was taken by the recipient.
  21. Sorry to bump a REALLY OLD thread, but... Yesterday I attempted Ou Kaaps from the Westlake (steep) side against a howling south-easter in the late afternoon. Needless to say, as I approached the last corner (before the straight at the top), I could hardly pedal against the wind, then eventually I got blown over! I realised I couldnt pedal up, so decided to walk, but still wasnt getting anywhere. All of a sudden a serious gust launched my bike into the air, I only had a grip on the handlebars. with the back wheel about a metre above the ground I was dragged accross the road (both lanes) and into the gutter on the other side! Once I "landed" my bike, I sat in the gutter for about 10 minutes not being able to go up, or down... Eventually I took my shoes off and using most of my weight to hold my bike down, I managed to walk about 100m down the road, in the gutter, where I could get back on and pedal to safety... Just a warning to be careful, use it, don't use it...
  22. Ronelle, Please go ahead - the more pics the better!
