  1. Na, just a load more magnesium and having gone with him like I should have. Didn't really know he was a climber so thought he would blow. Obvioulsy I was very wrong!!!!!!!!!
  2. W stands for WAR man! Besides, it is funny to watch guys crap in their pants when they rock up!!!!
  3. Hey, looks nice. Very similar in shape to the Zipp. I can only improve my sprints with new bars as I currently have a Ritchey WCS Alu stem and ITM wingshape bars. They belong on a menu at an Italian restuarant under the pasta menu with meatballs. P.S. don't those cable ties cut into your paint?
  4. but you only allowed to dope if your doctor takes the same drugs in the same amounts. MMM, now let me guess, no doctors would be willing to help cause they are actually rather clever people who know what is GOOD for you.
  5. Name and shame: No one likes a tattle tale and it would also be very unfare on the sponsors. As for me getting a mate to drag me along, I may as well just dope as well. You wanna know why I don't cheat, one reason, I don't want to be my family shame by being the reason why people would come up to my parents or wife and say, oh, is that your son/husband, the cheat! Besides, what glory or honor or satisfaction is there in cheating. One day you will be old and look back on your life and wonder where all of that was within you.
  6. You will also notice that some of those guys who get back onto the bunch are also the guys that are used to help the team win. They may not be climbers for instance, but when back on on the flats may be the ideal lead out man. All in all, it is still cheating and has no place in our sport. We may as well go and play soccer and fall over whenever someone so much as breathes on us.
  7. Reminds me of a song of the the teddy bear's picnic: If you go out on your bike today You're in for a big surprize If you go out on your bike today You better have all your lights For every idiot that ever did ride Will slap you around, theres no wear to hide Cause every day the idiots are out to be stuuuuuupid.
  8. Oh, SLC2 was the winner, but interesting to see the SL so close behind compared to Zipps marketing wording.
  9. I got some test data from a certain test centre that said what you guys are saying. They tested 5 handlebars, Zipp SL, Zipp SLC2, Easton EC90 Equip SL, Ritchey WCS carbon evolution and the FSA K-force Carbon. The Zipp bars had an 8% difference in torsional stiffness, whilst the closest bar was the Ritchey and FSA down 38% and 42% respectively and the Easton was down 52%. I was not sure if it could be believed, but it sounds similar to what you saying about Easton.
  10. You know why there are plenty of a**holes in this country who don't obey the rules and do things like hit woman. It is because there is not enough social pressure. We cannot rely on our authorities to solve our problems, social pressure is practiced in nearly all the 1st world countries and it works. I think she did well to ask them where their lights were, definitely not swear, but the lights is the point. We got enough deaths, accidents and poor reputations. We need more social pressure. As for a guy hitting a woman. If I ever see that sh*t on my street I will take a baseball bat to his head. If you can find out who these guys are I am sure I have some buds in your area who would love to slap them around.
  11. why do you say this? You know someone who has ridden the components?
  12. I am looking into buying myself a new stem and handlebar combination. I want something that will climb well and give a super platform for the sprint. Want something that is very stiff yet light. Handlebar and stem under 360g. I am currently looking at the Zipp SL, SLC2 and SL145 as well as the 3T ARX LTD stem and Team Rotundo bar. Does anyone have any hands on experience with these or can give me feedback on other super stiff products?The_Break2009-02-25 09:34:00
  13. Well I have seen "certain" pro teams cheat race after race with catching a free ride back onto the pack by their backup vehicle (and no it was not in the convoy, way, way behind) so I would not put it pas them to dope as well. If you are willing to cheat in any circumstance you will most likely cheat in most. What will be interesting to see is what their bodies will look like after all the years of abuse? Dumbasses!
  14. Send those testers to PE. I once heard a guy bragging about how he takes steroids cause he knows he will never be tested. And I know there are loads of guys on loads of stuff. Once a guy I had just met offered me some very illegal stuff. Said I needed anything just give him a call. So yeah, send them over cause those that race legally would have a good laugh here.
  15. No Problem! Hope you get it sorted out!
  16. What effect could sweat have on the parts (with/without carbon paste)? My club captain's post did the same. He eventually used a mallet to gently give the seat a smack in order to try "shock" release the parts if you know what I mean. It worked! But I must admit, it was the last thing he had an option of trying.
  17. No ok, seriously, I had the same problem as you did. I couldn't even wipe the toilet bowl properly without pain. Only thing I changed was from campy to shimano. The smaller grips just must have pinched something. As for you, you can try adding a gel pad just beneath the tape where your outer palm (like the karate chop part) rests on the bars. It will alleviate the pressure a bit. If you can't find any try doubling up on the tape or getting some heavoer padded gloves. The pressure is making the nerves become inflammed and thus post ride pain. Pins and needles is from nerve being suppressed.
  18. With entry level campag?
  19. Which shifters/groupset are you using. By any chance Campag?
  20. Does anyone have any direct contact with any Pro or CAT1 teams in the USA?
  21. It also depends who built the wheels. If Bornman did then you gonna go through the garage door.
  22. Where? On the floor or in your undies?
  23. You get rollers with resistance now days. I just sold one. Cycleops still make it. You can get plenty of resistance out of it. I have put out over 500W on that thing and even though your reflexes have to be fast at that speed it is very doable.
  24. You mean the chain stretched right Johan?
  25. Yes, look down to your left. Chris Willemse Cycles. Cape Town based, bought from them hassle free, fast, cheap shipping, wide range and yes, their prices are probably the best in SA and are as good as most big european and american websites.
