  1. I decided to send my Giant frame to Dragons so that they can inspect the frame and let me know.
  2. And still waiting for feedback
  3. Well I had my own bike shop where I build bikes like Bianchi's and Merida to name a few for a couple of years. So I know how to fit a a wheel.
  4. They also asked if I fitted the wheels myself? Are supposed to wait for your lbs to come out on a Sunday to take of your wheels to fix a flat?
  5. Just got a call from RAW asking weird question, is the non drive side metal or carbon (you see in the photo it's carbon), how many times did I remove the back wheel ( like their is a limit on how many times you can do it), what do I think is the cause, did I replace the wheel set ( well prevous set had a different name on and the new ones is a different make and has carbon hubs? Was the wheels imported ( well 99% of the components are imported unless Giant and Shimano has factories in South Africa that I am not aware of). I said I replace all the components on the bike except for the handlebars, everything else was replaced.
  6. Now Naked and service providers are back tracking and their service providers wants a telephonic conversation on the report and their decision that they made. Wondered what happened on accusing Giant for making defective frames?
  7. I received feedback from Giant. "Giant does not produce defective frames. There has been no recall on any Propel version or generation produced for our market." So looks like they are still trying to do their best not to pay out.
  8. I have made some close-up pics. The hanger has been changed with a new hanger as per their recommendation. Some of the carbon is starting to come off as well.
  9. I have escalated the matter to Hollard now for them to assist as Naked and their service providers are doing everything within their power not pay out a claim. Next thing they will probably say it due to the helmet or gloves that I am wearing.
  10. I just can't believe that Naked insurance company can say that Giant manufactured hundred of thousands if not million of frames with a defected rear stays where the wheels sits scew and nobody complained about it.
  11. Yes, my wheel sits dead centre on my friends Spez Tarmac SL3 and his wheels are also dead centre.
  12. I already sent an message earlier today. Should get feedback by tomorrow.
  13. Well I am waiting a reply from Giant to hear their side of the acqusations that Naked and their Service Providers are making about the quality of their defected frames they are making before anybody rides them. Think on the possitive side is that Giant frames are made so well that you can cause the rear wheel carbon to fracture, deliminate and even splitting open from the bead and no damaged to their rear stays or drop outs
  14. Just a little feedback after we managed a settlement in May. While riding last week one of my friends niticed thatmy back wheel is closer to the fram top right and at the rear stays it is closer to left of the frame. So I took out the nessesary tools to see what could be the issue and it seems that the wheels doesn't fit in line with the frame. So I send another email out asking them about this and they were very quick to point out the damaged report that was done which was flawed as no where did they mention that the rear stays were check or the drop outs which they also missed amongst other things which they corrected after wards. I also send them a copy of the cyclist that complaint about the railway tracks that were starting to sink in and making the bumps more troublesome to come over and the company admitted it and they fixed it. Now Naked and their Service Prodivers states that Giant had factory defects on the Propel Advacned SL frame set that cause the rear stays not to be alligned (no mention of the drop outs that could have gottten damaged on) and it was never picked up by any one. To put the cherry on top and now they are acuasing of me that I never replaced the wheelset. I replaced and fixed all the items (even replaced the groupset) on the report. Here is a some remarks on their email "The issue you are now experiencing relates to misalignment of the rear stays/dropouts, which points to a possible frameset issue, rather than damage to the wheelset itself ... Misalignment of the kind now visible is more consistent with a manufacturing-type defect than with accident-related damage...... unable to confirm whether the wheelset currently fitted is the same one that was replaced following the cash settlement. ....... the frame is most likely not related to the insured incident and therefore falls outside what we are able to cover under that claim." I didn't know that Giant produced defected frames (on their top frames) and it was never discovered as per suggested by Naked and their service providers.
  15. Tires are 25's, brake calipers came loose after accident and only realized it after a couple of km. Brake pads came off a different bike as you use different pads on alu and carbon wheels. You could on the tires as well how the brake caliper rub the tire.
  16. It is open to interpretation and you have to prove your point like carbon having "gradual deterioration over time" but will expand on this point when everything is sorted.
  17. I will provide a short summary of my experience on the process of the claim after everything is sorted
  18. We are standing at a month and 10 days not 6 days.
  19. So Naked only accept partial acceptance but here is the kicker. I need to buy the items first and provide pop they will reimburse me. What is the point of having insurance if I must pay it first?
  20. RAW did a revision to their report. Back to waiting again
  21. Hi. I am looking for someone to assist with buying a frame feom someone and to package the frame for me please?
  22. Naked and RAW decided only the wheels are covered as the rest is due to wear and tear (carbon fractures on 2 deferent places) over the years. My Look pedals are bent but according to RAW is normal wear and tear after sending the videos and Look Internasional confirmed it was not due to wear and tear. No mention of my saddle that broke as well.
  23. According to Naked it was presented to underwriters but now it must be signed off and it apparently it is marked as urgent (don't think I will comment on this one). 1 month and 6 days since claim was submitted.
  24. So RAW provided feedback at about 15:00 today so the claim is going back to Naked for approval again at the underwriters.
  25. The downtube and rear triangle is not fracture. The rest has gotten fractures and saddle is broken and some other issues as well.
