school fees, its an issue. But, at a recent school function had a chat with the headmaster. His insights were brilliant. His basic take was that the current school model at junior and primary school is getting outdated and needs to change. It should not longer focus on "teaching" information, but skill sets. Teach skills and the rest will follow. The basic premise being how do you teach kids for careers that dont yet exist, or will change within the next 5 yrs. And in that moment I realised my the school fees were worth it. If your lad can blog and program and ride a bike. His life will be fine.

oh ok.So we do the pakhuis pass first ..... now it makes sense. Lovely campsite at the top of the pakhuis pass. great walks and rock scrambling up there. We are going to stay at Algeria, and the Mrs will need to get back to the cottage after dropping me off at the start. And trust me .. aint NO single way I am doing this on a gravel bike. Soft plush dual suspension ALL the way.

Okes, just a question or 3 in terms of organisation (and trying to get Mrs Slowbee to do this). Any single track ? Anything technical ? Is it mostly gravel roads? Also the route, does it go past the Algeria cottages? Cant really tell from the route on the website.
