  1. 'Torpedo' or terrific? Onboard with Kvyat and Vettel at Turn 1 Video clip: http://www.formula1.com/content/fom-website/en/video/2016/4/Torpedo_or_terrific__Onboard_with_Kvyat_and_Vettel_at_Turn_1.html

  4. Well you just need to add in Hulkenburg and pretty sure you will then hate all the 2014 German F1 drivers...
  5. Read the interview with Christian Horner and he gives insight into reason for race strategy, think they got it wrong but doubt they would intentionally choose to not support fully their 4x WC. In his interview he says they didn't think Ricciardo would come up through the field like he did in end and that tires went in favor of one driver and held out for less than hoped for the other. Think the fact that Vettel held on to the 6th spot was full credit as you could tell the tires were struggling for pace/etc and few more laps and he could have dropped fair bit lower then just losing the 5th spot. Was great watching the battle between Button and Perez and the rest of them vying for the points from 4th-9th spot, Lots of overtaking made the race entertaining, Bottas with a car(Merc engine) with speeds that let him pull similar overtaking move lap after lap that made it look easy.
  6. Not going to bother replying to a very one sided view you have, except to say this is no way a brilliant season in my point of view as result of big difference in engine performance. Watching race was fine with fact that Rosberg was not driving good enuf to win, but then to see Toto Wolff expression/smirk when Rosberg lost leader spot to Hamilton over that mistake :o
  7. Just waiting for the slew of name calling and Rosberg bashing to begin
  8. Finally some racing beyond just between team mates... great race to watch
  9. great qualifying with plenty drama now to wait for race day and hope for some rain to mix things up
  10. Any chance that Hami's tough drive through the pack in last race and pushing car to max to get to front might have had a play in engine fire?? Kimi.. just got worse for him, not best gamble made by Ferrari there
  11. Guess not what you hoping for Dale... Hamster keeps his car on track tho either way still up in smoke
  12. hmm... so a even more dull/frustrating F1 season to play out then
  13. Go non-Merc teams... FP3 looked positive and hope Qualifying and Race brings some fresh faces to the podium
  14. Wow.. fantastic race in the end. Started out looking like would be same ol story as all before in this season but ended with a bang (and bust for Massa and Perez). Big difference in Nico-Hamilton relationship and Vettel-Riccardo. At first expected a glum faced Vettel with losing spot at pitstop to teammate, but instead ended with him showing full support and praise to Riccardo for job well done. Good sportsmanship after what we have seen from Mercedes team in last few races.
  15. Saw somewhere in after race discussion that unlike what it looked like at first from initial clips of accident in Bahrain, it was actually the wheel that caused flip and not the nose (scooping it up)
  16. Well Ricciardo got to move up to better team, Vettel is 4x champion who's suddenly struggling with car waaay worse then he is used too. Can imagine that plays on you keeping calm and driving 100%, Vettel is prob over trying to make his car perform better and getting frustrated (as noted from his radio chatter) while his teammate is happy for step up and bit more used to not everything going his way. Admit I am a Vettel fan, but at least last few years was closer competition then this season is turning out with Mercs just too quick. Amount of cars retiring and struggling to have decent run in a race is horrid.
  17. Thanks for sharing this. See it is only for 94.0 kms.. going then have those shooting for sub 3hr all up in arms over the extra .7km that made em miss out
  18. Rem to hydrate properly in day(s) b4 race and not only on race day. And keep fingers crossed the wind is also tolerable. I have been doing midday rides as well since i got a 10:03AM start time tho my race time will majorly suffer as my performance drops badly in heat. I'm also on a MTB.
  19. Thanks Cassie. One more question that comes to mind when looking at map is about where exactly is entrance to the Polo Field parking when coming via N1/Maxwell Drive? Can see there is marked with blue line/arrow an underpass into the area but assume that is only for cyclist to access the venue. Having a late start time of only 10 AM trying to figure how early to arrive without being too early and also not getting stuck with road closure due to first cyclists already coming through towards finish line.
  20. I also bought mine during checkout process when signing up, tho now I hear some comments about the Polo field parking being not all that great to get to so looking for any advice. Maybe they might have info included when you collection racepack/parking entry, just surprised can't find info on their site about where exact parking location is or what entry points there are.
  21. Anyone have some advice for directions on what roads to take to get to the paid parking as not sure which is best way with road closure (will be coming down from Lynnwood). Can't find info on their website and been couple years since last did the race.
  22. I used to live (2008-2011) very near to Matt Street and this crime is maybe new to cycling world but has been going on for last 5-6 years. Some of the incidents that took place while I was there include: - During WC 2010 lady almost had her baby taken in a snatch and grab at lights next to Woodlands Mall. - Had my dog's mouth slit from sharp pole by attacker entering my property - Had guests in my house held up 2x at gun point and robbed. Houses in our area were robbed regularly. Neighboring house was cleaned out 3x and tenants were fed up and left, new tenants were visited as well. - Cycling near the larger settlement behind church rode past girl being gang raped. Could do not nothing but split scene before they got a move on me. - Been 5x in smash and grabs at same light as above. Most mornings there would be 2-4 new piles of glass at intersection. At night learnt not to stop for red lights. - Friend had his kids/teenage son's bikes stolen from his house - .... list can go on and on
  23. So if MM group is expected to complete ride in 5hr 30mins what do they expect us in UU/VV to complete it in ??
