MUCh tougher than Sani having just done Sani, wind was cruel at times, too much portage Day 4... not so lekker going down that rocky cliff with a bike, some beaut scenery of course and some good bits in the forest, fair amount of district roads - I didn't mind as gave one a chance to sit in a group and recover but some people hated all the district roads!! First year still so obviously a lot will be fine tuned - will say more after a few more day's recovery :-)

Every Friday late afternoon the Ironman people meet and swim from Pier ..... maybe try and join the group - safety in numbers... try contact Fabes on here - he will probably best be able to advise you on where to swim.. My hubby used to swim at the Herbert Hurd school pool early mornings when training for Ironman but that was with a training group so don't know if they would just allow one to swim alone - maybe contact school and ask them.

If some tosser went through a stop street, shouted at me, spat in my face and threw me in traffic and my hubby didn't want to go out and hurt him I would be a tad miffed!!!
