  1. Hi all...thanks for the compliments on my Colnago and Daccordi! Agreed...the Campy needs to be on the Colnago...and will swap accordingly. How do you like my old Viner?
  2. Here's my retro contribution. Bought these in a moment of weakness! Colnago has Shimano Sante, (although an Ultegra rear mech) Daccordi has full Campy and Mavic GP4 tubbie wheelset. What do you guys think? Rode both, lovely to ride.
  3. Looking for a KTM 390 Duke 2013 and newer if anyone knows of one for sale?
  4. I should Danger Dassie, good idea. Its just been sitting to be honest.
  5. Just in case anyone is looking, I actually have a Royal Enfield Bullet for sale, less than 200km on the clock at present, and needs an appreciative home. Just saying...should anyone want a retro cafe racer
  6. No!! Bring back the crazy wavey forks! It looks nice though
  7. 2012 Honda CBR, & the missus rides the CBR250R. Would love that big KTM Duke.
  8. @Eddy...thats mind boggling. I never would have thought they would spray them in the factory. Especially coming through customs branded.
  9. And another thing, just like dopers should give up their suppliers, CS should name the person painting these bikes (if he/she is local) as they are in my opinion just as guilty. I personally do not believe they are painted in their country of origin. Expose the whole rotten bunch.
  10. My 2c...Mr Armstrong you have been diddled by these guys. How many others have suffered the same scam but either did not know, or were too scared to come forward? The question is, should you lay charges? In my mind the obvious choice is yes. If you dont, they get away with a crime. But it is a long and bumpy road, never pleasant and at the end of the day, if you go the way of the court, costly too. I do not believe crime of any kind should go unpunished, but give it some serious thought...you may be saving many other people from a similar ordeal...or go the way of a bigger and better man and maybe demand a public apology in return for no charges to be laid. Ultimately it is your call. I can assure you this...their local suppliers could care less about the fuss, as long as they get paid come month end. It is a tough decision, but believe me, they are not sleeping at night knowing you hold all the power here. Use it wisely.
  11. Maybe I am making a mountain out of a molehill here...but, who is spraying these bikes? Is the shop doing these remarkable paint-jobs, or a local artist? If it is a third party artist, surely they should also confronted about their work? And if so, their integrity is the same as a shop that willingly sells fakes. It all stinks
  12. Thank you everyone, much appreciated
  13. Hi guys...so, I know a young girl who wants to start riding, nothing serious but just wants to get a bike and start pedaling around her complex. She is in the Randburg area, which shop would offer her the best service, prices and some honest advice? Any advice would be welcome...
  14. I respect that big brands need to protect their copyrights. Had it been "body geometry" or "S-Works" then I could have fully understood Specialized going to the lengths they did. But over a name like Roubaix, a name that belongs and has belonged to a town longer than Specialized has been around is insane! But at the end of the day, it has been resolved and Specialized (& other companies) should take note of the fact that the people who buy their bikes have voices and morals, and hate getting the raw side of the deal. A simple matter that could have been easily resolved became an international outcry through the wonders of social media and word of mouth! Its a big victory for morality in my eyes! Good on Mr Specialized for going and seeing Sargeant Roubaix. In the end he did the right thing, regardless of what copyright laws say he should and could do. But please note that me selling my Tarmac has nothing to do with any of this. Its just an incredible coincidence that I replaced my bike, shoes, helmet and tires on the same day!
  15. Sheesh...seems some people are only happy when they are unhappy? Sorry Quick Peddler! Celebrate the fact that we have a race with such incredible support. Roads closed, media coverage and (for one day at least) the respect and support of the usually cyclist intolerant public!
  16. Nice bikes. Cg_s, that rear Spinergy must look awesome when spinning?! With those decals it must look incredible!
  17. Interesting article NotSoBigBen, and it immediately casts some doubts on Rasmussen. Obviously he doped. And his coming clean and releasing this book was a good thing. But surely you have to be 100% certain and confident of claims you make against others, in print, online or on-air? So to now turn around and say that of the 100% of the team using dope, there are several riders who he is not sure about? It just makes him look foolish and less credible. I personally have zero doubt that he is wrong in his initial claim, and I do believe wholeheartedly that everyone with a tie to these teams in some way will be owning up to their erronous ways in the very near future.
  18. @Backpacker...that is actually a very valid point. But, if you are taking your own bikerack then surely there is space for a numberplate? If not taking a rack, thats what a backseat is for!!
  19. Its a valid point. And just gives more ammo to those who dislike cyclists already. Is it a costly hassle? Yes. But its the law unfortunately. And if we want certain laws upheld or approved, then we should abide by the laws that are already in place. If you dont have a visible numberplate, dont cry when you get fined. If you use a trailer, you make sure the lights work. If you use a bike rack, the same approach should apply.
  20. @Javadude, I think the fact that Armstrong made so much money and rode the crest of the wave for so long without showing any regard or regret has a big influence on how the authorities are now going out to get him. In typical Texas fashion, Armstrong shoved his achievements in everyones faces and basically ran a campaign of intimidation against anyone that dared be against him. And now that he is on the back foot, everyone that was bullied by him is now back for their pound of flesh. All these guys (Hysjedal, Vaughters, Zabriskie) have had ties to Lance, and while their admissions are applauded, its really all they can do now. Everyone involved with Lance will have to come clean. For them its a way to avoid being prosecuted with him and to retain some dignity. As for Lance, he could save a hundred babies from impending doom while moonwalking on water and nobody is going to give him any praise, ever again.
  21. Cant say I am shocked. It seems anyone with a tie to Armstrong and Bruyneel is inevitably going to have to come clean. I saw an article praising Hyjesdal for telling the truth, but would he have been so honest if Rasmussen had not named him?
  22. Haha! 64kph is not slow given that it looks uphill? Is this in the Cape? Once saw two guys on track bikes behind a truck on the JHB/Vereeniging highway. One guy didnt even have a helmet on! The mind boggles! With regards to my previous post, should I be wrong in thinking it is who I have implied, then my upfront apologies to you mr unnamed rider
  23. He looks very familiar, like a former pro, recently banned? Looks just like him... Most roadies have jumped slip before, but this is pretty brazen! And not very clever as its a busy road by the looks of it. Clearly some people could care less
