Daggavis I don't know if its the same as either of the Schwinns to be honest with you. I had a good laugh when I read the latest Bicycling mag- at the back under 2009 frames, my one is like fourth from the bottom in price range! Mampara jealousy makes you nasty
Cactus I kakked myself as well about 2 months back when I wanted to buy a new bike! For what I have here it compares to R25 000 bikes, and rides beautifully. Nothing against branding, but whay pay so much when you can get something like this?
Cactus, Mampara is right. I weighed up my options at getting a carbon bike with 105 components and I was looking at R25 000 for a 2009 Giant TCR Advanced 2. And it weighed 8.2kgs without pedals. This was not just with Giant- all bikes with 105 weigh about the same and are priced about the same. So for what I have here I am very happy.
Cactus without the seatpost and pedals R16 700. Not bad at all for a 7.6kg with heavy tyres (not the ones in the pic) bike. @Mampara and Big JD I think some black carbon ones will be lekker.
