  1. I have been very frustrated since owning a MTB...in my BMX days I was able to do decent hops. We also measured it with bricks or skateboards. Now the high seat of a cross country bike just irritates me. I can't get nearly enough whip from the bike. Maybe a dropper post will be a nice to have. I am currently practising to hop from one side of jeep track to the other path, and going a respectable pace. Not stationary Try it...it can be harder than it looks
  2. Nice build man! you can remove the chain slap protector now...no more of that
  3. Yeah, I just bought a set and I am chuffed...I had a pair of Tektros and the difference is quite big
  4. Hop on a plane and do one in JHB...seriously it is so easy to do....work the extra cost into each person's fee...
  5. I used it on a carbon stem and didn't do it any harm....
  6. None that I'm aware of. You can use it on metal, wood, plastic and I'm pretty sure carbon too.
  7. Plascon removeall... works like a charm
  8. I might get shot for this but Cajees had a great looking stand for R1200. It comes with a parts tray etc...looked very sturdy... I bet you can bargain a couple of rands of that price too.
  9. I will maybe try the X-Kings, my buddy John also likes them... So you reckon the X-Lite is woes? no give?
  10. That Silverback is not a bad deal, personally I don't like Silverback but if you buy a bike then I don't see a problem, you will probably end up changing it soon anyway
  11. Awesome thanx, can't wait to take mine out for her first ride..I need wider bars though...but all in good time
  12. I'm also use to the Crossmarks LUST, so will rather stay with that then. Thanx
  13. Please give us feedback how you find it? I am keen to get one. The Niner looks great but is a bit pricey for me.
  14. Yes I can vouch for the chunkies... What about a bigger volume front tyre? Like the Ardent 2.25? obviously on low pressure. Another question: what about the On One carbon rigid forks?
  15. You make me want to do it even more! When I felt how much the 29er fork weighs I wanted to cry softly. I could always spend money on a better fork as well. But I don't ride trails...so I reckon I will give it a go when I have some cash to play with.
  16. And how do you find the rigid? ALso the jump to the 29er HT SS?
  17. I am very keen to try a rigid fork on my new build. However what scares me is the following: I was riding a 26" DS bike. Now I have switched to: 29" Hard Tail Single Speed I'm scared to throw a rigid fork in the mix as this is quite a jump in the deep waters of HTFU
  18. Nice,.another addict. I have a pair of over the tops with limited edition emerald green lenses. I also have the light grey camo monster dogs. Both those are quite scarce. Now I have polarized oil rigs.
