  1. Good day all, I have buckled under the pressure and decided to enter the 2018 360one challenge. This will be my first one, but have done a couple of Transbaviaans', K2C's etc. I was contemplating maybe hitting it on my XTC as the Anthem is quite a bit heavier and has more components that can break, but then again think my body might take less of a hammering on the dualie. As I don't know the terrain, I would love some views from people who has completed it.
  2. Me and some friends had a blast at Jonkers on the new trails on Sunday. Put on some baggies and just let it rip. http://i1169.photobucket.com/albums/r508/Peet_Kruger/FB_IMG_1451818350920.jpg
  3. .... only for now my friend... hehehehe But I have used the cadence function on the watch when running... and still figuring out how the data is going to assist me in training. The watch iz very much to cleva
  4. So you have been behind me before....
  5. I havn't tested it with Ultra Track yet but was really impressed with the battery life
  6. Yes used everything except a cadence meter... which in my opinion is useless in mountain biking. Other than that everything was on.
  7. As promised. I used the navigation function on the fenix 3 with the Transbaviaans this weekend and it worked EXCEPTIONALLY well. The watch warned us immediately if we veered off course and it tracked for the full 20 hours the watch's battery held up in full GPS mode. Live tracking didn't work so well, but I reckon it was due to the cellphone signal getting lost. All in all, very satisfied and definitely going to start loading other courses for trail running and hiking as well.
  8. I got the normal Garmin handlebar mount and it works fine. Some hubbers have even used their old Polar mounts.
  9. Yes you can load a GPX or FIT file and plot it as a course, transfer it to the watch and load the course and then select activity such as hike, bike, run or whatever. Ill check it and give a report next week.
  10. My 10 cents... after a lot of research some time back and a good deal via a friend I got the fenix 3 and haven't looked back. Awesome piece of equipment. Will be using it's tracking and navigation functions this weekend on the Transbaviaans.
  11. Has anybody tested the battery life yet in full GPS mode?
  12. Have had mine for little over a week and I LOVE it. No software issues, nothing complicated when you are used to it...
  13. Any idea where one can get a bike mount for this watch?
  14. Got this lady delivered yesterday... courtesy of a SARS payout and a contact with a great deal. Absolutely in heaven http://i1169.photobucket.com/albums/r508/Peet_Kruger/20150708_121134.jpg
  15. Just got mine yesterday, courtesy of SARS I have to add. Had it about 24 hours now and absolutely love it.
