  1. I have a set of the nukeproofs and they seem pretty good. I haven't had alot of riding on them but my front wheel survived quite a hard bail with no prob. I'd say if you have the cash now build up a strong set on hopes. They will last long and you can make them as pretty as you like. Also maybe search some of the wheel building topics on hear for info on what to use if you are going to build up your own wheel. Otherwise, I have a set of Da Bomb revolver wheels like so... http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_n_H52pc9c9g/TD6mkZTFpJI/AAAAAAAAAHU/0sURbd4crYs/s1600/revolver+wheel-blue+color.jpg ...which I love to death but I think CRC is sold out of them. These guys are bombproof
  2. hopefully 2 weeks and then I can get some smooth xc under my belt, not sure about harder stuff yet
  3. Except I am staring at it all the time and waiting for my stuupido shoulder to heal up so I can give the bike it's first run

  10. I have been on flats for about 2 months now, and now that I've got used to them, I have to say I find them alot more "fun". I feel like I can be a right hooligan when cornering and just drop the inside leg if I over do it. Also I have all the cool new scars on my shins from my recent attempts to learn to bunny hop "properly". And as we all know chicks love scar, especially red ones as they bleed faster. Get some flats
  11. The reason i would choose the spanks is they are fin: http://www.spank-ind.com/upload/20120130_022436640412.jpg And they are superdupercalifragilistic sexy
  12. Say what now! Please keep me posted, I will be his no1 client
  13. Wrong, u like flats but don't know it. To be more specific, you love these: http://www.spank-ind.com/upload/20120130_022436595266.jpg
  14. Ah, po0p then I'll need to check i have a a geriatric's bday to attend sometime on Sunday afternoon but i might be up for Wednesday next week if you can make it.
  15. I'm keen. I'm not sure I'll even make it up the ramp but that a problem for future me to deal with. Do you know when we are allowed to mess around there?
  16. I can vouch for the M666's, I love mine. Awesome modulation on them! and they have saved my ass on several occasions.
  17. Awesome, so some more money saved!
  18. Which bike do you think needs a dropper more (long term both will have): a downhill bike vs AM hardtail?
  19. Damn, well now that you guys have shown me I was wrong, it just seems rude for me not to order one today
  20. I have a very similar build; 740mm bar, 40mm stem, 1x10 (probably converting to SS to make me fitter), 150mm Revelation, 2.4 Mountain kings. Dropper is the piece i want but not sure that they make 27.2mm ones
  21. Where, who, how!??!???!? Tell me!
  22. Wow pricey, I built my On one for less than 10k with a revelation fork(150mm), SLX groupset and Downhill wheels. Only thing I'm missing is a dropper. And my hard hitting bad@ss bike is steel
  23. You are doing the right thing
  24. Like this http://gp1.pinkbike.org/p4pb8590688/p4pb8590688.jpg Has Patches tempted you over to morewood on the slow, unfit rides?
