  1. Have a look at this Fandacious. http://power2max.co.za/index.php/rotor-3d-2
  2. All current accurate direct measure power meters make use of strain gauges. Strain gauges make use of piezoelectric sensors. The mechanical properties of these sensors change with changes in temperature, which in turn has an effect on the accuracy of your readings. We feel that Power2max's current and new method of temperature calibration makes it one of (if not the) most accurate power meters available.
  3. Available for all the cranks! Thanks for the kind words hdp_gmx!
  4. In that case you will also love the Rotor 3D Plus
  5. Unfortunately yes. Power2max does not make a Hollowgram version at present. We highly recommend the 3D Plus.
  6. Yes indeed! Have a look here: http://www.power2max.co.za/index.php/rotor-3d-2
  7. Power2max now also offers a R3000 crash replacement on the power sensor itself. Unique in the power measurement market!
  8. Yes, Power2max is available in South Africa from www.power2max.co.za Unfortunately it cannot be fitted to the Super Record Cranks. The Rotor cranks work just as well. I run a Rotor 3D Plus with Super Record. They come in compact 110 BCD versions and standard 130 BCD versions. You can choose which chainrings to run. 10. In reality it was less of a problem than some reviewers made it out to be. The new calibration system of temperature compensation may however make Power2max the most accurrate power meter in real world conditions. MTB BCD's are 104/64 or 120/80 in double.
  11. Thanks for the compliment! You won't turn back...
  12. Introducing the new Power2max FSA Gossammer crankset. The unit will retail below R10k and is expected to be available end of October/November. Updated Features: Right-Left-Splitting of Power readings Compensation of temperature dependent drift Other Features: Change chainrings without calibration Measure cadence without external magnets Customer replaceable battery ANT+ Compatible http://www.facebook.com/Power2MaxSouthAfrica www.power2max.co.za
  13. "Great advice comes from underestimated rider" - Gerard Vroomen founder of Cervelo He said this in the context that "less talented" riders work harder, know more tricks of the trade and don't have it as easy as the most talented riders... Food for thought
  14. Hi Everyone We the Rotor crank versions of Power2max in stock in Road and MTB. Have a look on www.power2max.co.za for more info and pricing and pop us an e-mail if you have any questions.
  15. Weights are very comparible to Quarq and SRM. Depending on which BB option you use, the Power2max with Rotor 3D Plus is between 50g and 100g (approximately) heavier. Keep in mind that Power2max has a built in cadence sensor which requires no extra attachment, magnets or sensors on your bike. So there is a small weight saving and it's aesthetically more pleasing. If you train properly with power, cadence is a must have.
  16. Our prices are hard to beat www.power2max.co.za
  17. Thanks Zac. Please have a look at our site. www.power2max.co.za or send me a PM. We have some stock in the Rotor versions.

To all the Wattage Geeks out there. You can view Jan de Beer's (Smith & Assosiate / OBike Maties) power file here. https://www.trainingpeaks.com/sw/W2XL6QDI2HPCNDTTAWAI4YCYSI Just click on "WP Team Time Trial" in the menu on the right. Great event, thanks WPCA!
  19. Stay away from any zone calculations taking HRmax into account. Here is a good guide to set HR zones: http://www.trainingbible.com/joesblog/2009/11/quick-guide-to-setting-zones.html In an ideal world, HR should be used as an indicator of physiologial response and fatigue. Power is a better, less variable way to gauge training efforts and allows you to monitor progress and plan more exact training sessions (intervals).
