  1. But that was for an airfreight quote? Something is wrong here, I ship in goods from the East for less.
  2. LOL - That's a bit excessive.
  3. What about rear lights?
  4. Also, in my experience, international courier is generally cheaper if arranged within the country of origin and not destination. Doesn't the UK bike store have other courier options?
  5. Container shipment is only cost effective for large items. In your case, airfreight should be the cheapest. I use Berco Express all the time (now called Aramex). Ask them for an airfreight quote, not international courier.

  8. Dunno if it has been posted before, but this video is very interesting (The World According to Lance): http://www.abc.net.au/4corners/stories/2012/10/11/3608613.htm
  9. Same here. Tried a pair of S-Works and was sold.
  10. Q20 - Used on the same derailleur for the last 11 years - still running smoothly.
  11. Used them before. Very good service.
  12. If I was going to buy standard wheels, I would buy it where I could find it cheapest (locally or CRC). However, for custom wheel builds, wheelbuilder.com is excellent. They build really good, strong wheels. Also, the standard Zipp 101 has 20 spokes in the rear wheel. Through wheelbuilder.com one can get a 24 spoke Zipp 101 rear wheel (which I took - stronger for training).
  13. Excellent service. Placed my order on 29 August. Wheel was shipped on 30 August. I received the wheel today, 4 September! The price of the Zipp 101, including the powertap (pro), was very similar to the price of the powertap (pro) alone in SA! Also, they are recommended by Zipp for custom wheel builds. I spent a couple of months doing research, and eventually settled on them as their reviews (and prices) were very good.
  14. Arrived today!
  15. Thanks for the help!
  16. Hi I will be down in Cape Town this weekend. Looking for early morning group rides on Saturday, 1st September and Sunday, 2nd September. About 60kms on Saturday (25-30km/h avg.) and 100kms on Sunday (25-30 km/h avg.) I will be based in Century City, so group rides starting nearby would be easiest (but can travel to other areas). Any suggestions? Who to contact? Thanks
  17. My thoughts exactly.
  18. How was it sent? Courier or post? If courier, call them - I had a problem once with a FedEx package and they had all the info as to why it was stopped at customs (in my case, documents were incorrect). If post office, try the Cape Mail Hub. All my international parcels seem to come through them (I live in Western Cape). They have been very helpful in the past, all you need is the international tracking number.
  19. Garmin bike mount
  20. Agreed! Poor showing by the other large nations!
  21. He came out and raced! Well done! Can't say the same for the rest of the riders... apart from Team GB and Philippe Gilbert. Poor showing by some of the other larger nations.
  22. Marco Pantani and Carrera:
  23. Also liked the old Carrera team clothing:
