  1. Missed the bear. But maybe would not have if it was wearing a brightly coloured cycling jacket?
  2. Yip. Same story here. Buyer wasted my time for more than two weeks. Always excuses as to why payment had not yet been made, in the end he ignored me. No apologies, nothing. Could have at least said he changed his mind.
  3. Same here. Never met him and almost cried. For some reason his death has had a much bigger impact on me than any of the other cycling deaths? All deaths are very sad, however, this one feels different? Life is so fragile. Cannot even imagine what his family is going through...
  4. Went for a ride this morning (or tried to do a ride). Constantly thinking about Burry. Turned around halfway and went straight back home. Just felt dead.
  5. Just heard. This is so f@%king sad! I am speechless. Hoendervleis. Can't believe it.
  6. Go for the best: Garmin Edge 500/800
  7. +1
  8. Try Monties Cycles in Mossel Bay. The last time I was there they had a Lotus.
  9. Very happy with mine. Hardly ever get any punctures. High kms. Will always recommend these tyres.
  10. Very nice! Been looking into SS frames. Did not know GT had one. If I may ask, how much was the frame?
  11. No such store in George.
  12. Should be fine. See: http://www.drivetraincalculator.com
  13. Sorry to hear. That sucks!
  14. It would be quite interesting if Alonso retires, say, after a first lap incident. Then Vettel wins, irrespective of where he or if he finishes. He could idle around the track or stop early and celebrate - but knowing Vettel, he would still fight for the win as he does not seem to like loosing.
  15. I was wrong. They can't sell Specialized outside the EU. That kinda sucks.
  16. You can buy some Specialized products from Evans Cycles in the UK and they ship to SA?
  17. I have placed a couple of order already and always used the free shipping option. Never once lost an order, but it takes up to 4 weeks to arrive.
  18. Classic!
  19. Third vote done.
  20. Usually the seller, but some couriers do have a COD option where the buyer can pay when he receives the goods. [Edit: The seller pays the courier on behalf of the buyer. Ultimately, the buyer still pays the cost, just depends when - before or after delivery]
  21. Bit more hassle, but will be cheaper. You then have to go to the airport to clear the frame (with your import/export code) - or you can hire a clearing agent, but they will also add their fee.
