  1. Apologies Graham, found a brand new one for silly money (under R50) at Cycle Lab and have bought it. Please see the updated BikeHub post : Wanted: Front derailleur bracket for Giant OCR1. - The Bike Room - Bike Hub https://share.google/BEX2j4eieJfUXw5lt My apologies again (thought you would have seen it 🙈) , and wishing you a good week ahead.
  2. Thank you All, managed to find a brand new one, purchased it & is being delivered to my local Cycle Lab branch ready for pick-up all for under R50 bucks.
  3. Greetings All. My front derailleur clip (black plastic) broke in 2 the other day, therefore the front derailleur is no longer attached to the frame. Would anyone have a spare lying about, or know where to order a new one from? Bike has been recently refurbished, and previously converted to a flat bar commuter - and would like to get it fully functional again. Any advice, tips or leads are very much appreciated. 4. Nope, not at all. Magical, will try that. ???? Thank you for the advice.
  5. Yes just the bearing thanks, flyweight here weighing in at 62 kilo's.
  6. Greetings, My front wheel bearings are rough, and need replacement - where to get? Struggling to find the correct ones. .
  7. Hope it's been postponed. Was a little cautious of going in this mornings drizzle, (rusty vehicle blah, blah) and now is raining down proper.
  8. Thank you, Vetplant. Have previously researched this topic in-depth, and have gained much information from various (international) websites. However, these articles were all several years old (& who knows if still applicable after all the latest Zwift s/w patches and updates etc are run), so hugely appreciate your response in giving current and true 'real-time' feedback here from a local South African CT user's perspective. Am a big CompuTrainer fan, and it is inspiring to see the original old-skool, bullet-proof, mid-80's indoor cycling originator of yore, working seamlessly together with today's modern leading-edge Zwift 3D multi-user technology - USB serial-port wires and all. >>
  9. Good Morning, Would there be any sort of negatives using a CT on the Zwift platform? (latest controller firmware is up to date, using CT puck as cadence) Been considering this for years, just haven't bit the bullet.
  10. I remember when first coming to Cape Town in 2000 (Y2K). Being new in the area and still discovering the bike routes, there was no problem to cycle down Blaauwberg Road and turn left passing Killarney race track en route to Contermanskloof riding 100% solo. Fast forward 20 years and now not on your life (or my life, rather) would you ever find me there. My how things have changed in a relatively short space of time.
  11. Neil McPherson (Retul authorised) 57 Sea Cottage Drive Crofters Valley Noordhoek (021) 789-2903 Retul is considered the gold standard in bike fitment. If physio specific preferred: it's a bit of a trek out to Stellenbosch, though a PM with his contact details has been sent. (he looks after Conrad Stoltz and AJ Calitz)
  12. For those athlete's withdrawing from EL 70.3 for example, - does this further open-up entries down-the-line as the event is currently (obviously) sold out.
  13. Is anyone here Zwifting using a CompuTrainer here? Keen to hear any user feedback.
  14. The lady contacted me this afternoon - helmet sorted.
  15. Shocking - all routes in/out of Stellenbosch now seem vulnerable. Has there been any known incidents on the Polkadraai road towards Kuilsriver? (Might be useful to hook up with the Bottelary Road again, via Zevenwacht.) * - am fairly new to the forum, and used to do fairly regular commuting between Stellies and Table View over weekends. Quite something else now. Otherwise am enjoying the Hub, much useful info, with knowledgeable, helpful members.
  16. Hi chaps. I loaned a helmet at Knysna XTERRA, after mine was found with a slight crack and officials wouldn't let me race with it. A lady from Durbanville, loaned me her sons helmet. I still have the helmet, and need to return it. Any assistance with obtaining her contact details will be hugely appreciated.
  17. Hi Hubbers, hoping you can help. Am urgently looking for the lady who lent me her son's helmet at Knysna XTERRA. I have lost her contact number, and would like to return to the rightful owner soonest please. (in Cape Town area) Should you know of her (or her son), kindly assist with info please. >>
