Both your incidents are owner related. The dog does not know better. If owner adhered to law saying it must be on a lead at all times then the dog would not “attack” Dog does not know “no biting “ rule. Carry pepper spray and you not have been attacked. You “take out the dog” the owner will get another one and it will be the same. I really hope we never ride together and you get agro with a dog while I am there. Animals don’t know better!!!

Conties is separate from TBMTC and as far as I know, the dont allow running at all.

Not that it bothers me personally but, I am worried people start running where they should not and then we all loose access to the trails

It would be nice if the club could let the members know where this is allowed and if the runners need a permit etc.

Can someone confirm if any trail running is allowed on the trails (Not talking Meerendal) We encounted someone while climbing up to the mast on conties, and he said "but I have a permit and he HAD one, the one the club sells. But as far as I know that is for riding only and the club has never sold permits for running or did I miss something?

I know I could, but why should I be required to do so is my question? I am not an athlete I am a funrider.

I would love to the do Epic or sani, but to be honest I dont feel like becomming a medical expert or run the risk of taking something and inadvertantly get tested and then you are "dopper" on the hub. I have a job, ride bikes for fun an nothing else. Dont see why I now need to say to my Doc sorry I can not take that for my hay fever etc. Just because I am going to ride Epic in a weeks time? And there is a good chance that if I dont take whatever the doc wants to give me that I will not even make it to start line of said race?

Why don't they have a "ride the Epic as Funrider" and you dont need to worry about being tested and you only get Finish time every day. And then you have the "Racing / tested Cat"?

But that is my point....is he really a "doper" or a funrider that pays for the PRO's to get lekker prize money? Did he "dope" or was he unintentional funrider caught for something he did out of the sport?

No link sorry. But I remeber Khalid being quoted in an article about doping somewhere and him saying that they dont have enough money to test the amount of people they want to test and that the bio passport cost a lot to maintain etc

100% correct that hte majority is PRO and I agree with what SAIDS does 99% of the time. I just dont like it when they moan about money while wasting it on Funrider" YIP even 1% :-) Then gain they have the right to moan and so do I : -)

I think it is a waste of money to test back markers, and then the poor person get ripped apart on the HUB "look he/she tested possitive and even with all the dope he/she could only make 290th" And then it is an Funrider?
