This is exactly what is wrong with people these days. So if YOUR opinion is that smoking while pregnant is ok, or drunk driving etc etc...... the rest should shut up? How do then educate people that their view/opinion is in fact wrong? Other have given good reasons why they think your opinion is wrong, now come and tell us why you think you are right please.

This is what I was refering to in my earlier post. In the "old days" they would call up all the catogry 1, 2, 3. Possition and give them a bottle of wine or two. Now they only care about the Pro's. This used to be the only "race" where a complete weekend warrior could perhaps end up on the podium........now ====NOPE

I find their #seriousgees a joke. There was MUCH more gees in 2013 and 2014 when they did still gave the amateurs recognition. I remember my friends being on the podium every night and it was great. Now it has become a money making / Pro's orientated race. Was my last one for sure the standared of water table has gone down. I am not asking for dried wors etc. But day 2 WP one had ONLY WW biscuits. banana bread, and water and coke. I ate nothing there. Day 3 WP 2 and 3 were a bit better but still not up what we had years ago.

Fully aware, and that also explains a lot They want your money but dont care about you(Amateur)

The quality of this race has been steadily declining since 2015 2013 = fantastic, the cared for the amateur doing the 1st and 2nd race....2015 it became more about CEO's standing on the podium and waffle on for 30mins each.....Like I care jack about financial decision or my net worth while I am at a bike race. Then last year = "We are looking after the PRO's especially women in the 1st one" Midweek, = thanks for your money, now we pay nice prize money for the next week 3rd race = Pro's

Yes out the back, they only took us to 13000ft and tried to slow down to around 170mph, 150 jumpers per pass, and I was number 35 on 1st pass and last one to make it onto the airfield. The rear staircase was "lined" with wood panels so it was like a shute that nothing could get caught up. I went out on my back feet 1st and then into track, stayed up with aircraft for a about 5 sec as I slowed to terminal velocity. Then started free falling. I wish.... :-) The idea to do this jump at the boogie came because of MR DB C :-)

I have jumped a few different aircraft. from a 727 to a cropsprayer (well that one did not work that well ) :-) None had seats, only ting that worked was airspeed indicator :-)

Have you seen some of the jumpships.....hardly serviceable

I follwed his whole build of Draco...and now can not wait to see what he does with Scrappy :-)

Seems he is on blood pressure meds, so it is not like he can just not take it? This is where I do not understand the whole doping thing. Why test the okes in the Epic that come in minutes before the cut off? So if I am on blood pressure meds, I must get a TUE if I want to ride Sani just to finish within 29min to cutoff?

That was last year when it was not a sanctioned event. This year it is again.

Not really the PPA rides, but Sani2C and Epic, Karoo2Coast, Cape Pioneer etc

Just to add to this. and FYI The club rule on this overrules the even the land owner. If you need /want to ride off trail then you need permission from the Land owner AND from the club in writing. Verbal is not accepted.

Let me fix this..... Do you know why those times were implemented? Because of an entitled member.....who had a go at the landowner walking her dogs

Not attacking anyone. The traverse closing was caused by a member riding there and came across a lady walking her dogs (the dogs were not on leads) He had a moan at her. She happened to be the farm owner, walking HER dogs on HER land. Because of that incident she said 17:30 it closes so she can walk her dogs.

Not wanting to argue with you but the concrete road has been off limits since day1 And it has been communicated plenty times. It has a clear sign at the gate, no cycling. And if you get onto from the trail then you are breaking rule ONE of the club. leaving a trail to ride your own way.

P Kid, it is a road on private land, how can you think it is public? Is is on the club website and one of the rules you agree to when signing up. There are signs everywhere, at the gate, and at the cement road crossings. If you go onto the cement road you are leaving the trail? And club rule one Keep to the marked trails Please do not take shortcuts even if on Jeep track, or go “explore” areas of the farms. This is not allowed and will cause problems for the club.

Nope, someone drove up there as they did not want to ride up. Ignored the big sign on the gate at the cement road entrance, and used next gate.
