  1. Do it Bru. You only live once if you can afford the installemnt get the best bike you can. Eff those who think its crazy. ha ha ha
  2. Howzit Everyone Those of you from Durban who frequent the Durban Beachfront to Cycle Run ect will have noticed the Absolutely disgusting mess that is left behind after the night Parties that go on there. This has become a regular occurance every Sat and Sunday morning. The Place looks like a war zone and there are still quite a few people still partying ( Who then leave to drive home while we are using the roads to live a healthy lifestlye) This regular weekend occurance has now started to happen on a Thursday night and a Sunday night too. Some of you might have seen the videos trending on FB. When evenst like Tinman and Durban Ultra and a few Half marathons happen we have to cycle and run through this disgusting pig stye that is left behind. it is really off putting and I my self wont be doing anymore events in this area until something is done. As it just spoils the mood and atmosphere. I have got a hold of the Deputy Mayors Email address Hazel.Moonsamy@durban.gov.za For those of you concerned and care about this issue please take a few minutes to email her and voice your concerns and send videos and pictures if you have. We need to put an end to this lawlessness and lack of respect for other beach goers and people in general. I don't want to turn this into a thread with everyone's Ideas and so on. Just if you could email her so that we can get the municipality to sort it out as it is their job. Regards Grant Guerin
  3. i got a 1 min penalty for the zipper story at IMSA. I want impressed. ha ha
  4. he thinks they were nigerian. and nigerians are big into the human body part trade
  5. I have asked his good friend Sandile to keep us posted. And let me know how we can help with his huge medical bills
  6. Sadly this sick story is true and confirmed to me by one of his close friends. He said they didn't want his bike or phone they just wanted his feet. They were talking another language he thinks maybe Nigerian. So this incident although Savage and so so sickhas nothing to do with bike thieves and all the making of the Muthi Trade.
  7. For the rest of the year just do all your runs at a moderate pace. not too fast and not too slow. start worrying about speed work from the begging of January. You dont want to go into next year with tired legs. you and to have a good base to avoid injury once the speed work and mileage starts going up. next year aim for 1 speed work session a week and 1 TT. the rest of your runs should be easy pace. start off with running 400,s then build to 800,s and finally 1k speed work sets. 2 strength sessions a week will do you wonders too.
  8. Agreed Stick to your normal road bike set up. Tri Bars wont make a difference to your time and might add some strain to your back. take it easy on the bike and save something for the run. Everyone gets this wrong on their first couple of Tri's. ha ha
  9. Is the 15% duty and 14 % Vat on the total including delivery? I checked online and used the calculator and it came up with a figure of R10500 but in the Breakdown the duty for nil?
  10. I've lost 2 . They need to make the left hand one a reverse thread as it comes loose when u pull on the bars
  11. You need to focus on running. time on the legs is crucial. I ran my first comrades in 2014 and only ran a bit I was still cycling mainly I thought that just being fit was enough. Well I learnt the hard way the pain was excrutiating. Time on the legs running is key.
  12. Please can someone steer me in the right direction. Im looking for a Cycling top with the SA flag on it for my Uncle who lives in the USA. Where can I buy or get one made up. Im in KZN
