  1. Sports Science is the best. When you say basic assesment what do you mean? PPO and V02 test? cost is R660 ask for Ben.
  2. Burry and Sauser are on another level, baring a mechanical or worse they will win the event in dominant fashion.

MoorewoodMad:That was the reply I was expecting, again attacking, belittling someone to make yourself look better. If you think that post counts equals knowledge about a certain subject here on the hub then it shows the type of mentality I am conversing with here and therefore warrent you no reply as I wont get an educated response. I am sorry I dont have a post count as high as yours and do not know as much as you. But you forget I know who you and that kills you. Please feel free to attack me to great extent back from this reply. I am over replying to you.
  4. LG-C are one of the top 3 GT teams with huge firepower but at the moment they seem to lack that extra 10-15% in their GC riders per GT to take the win. They almost like the old T-mobile team back in the day, huge overall talent and fitrepower but cant seem to get that win. I thought when Kritzinger left they had an open hole left unfilled but with the results he hasnt been getting at Astana seem to un justify his 2mill Euro contract a year. I hope LG-C find that extra they an awsome team but relying on Basso to win another GC is not really a reality anymore.

Great experience for you and love the 200% part by taking it easy. If they win on SUnday they will have you to thank for it!

But Kevin and David dont ride for a PC team, they ride and David owns a pvt mtb team and hence can call their own salary dependant on overall team budget. Also they are not Domestiques. Just take a deep breathe and relax Moorewood, your knowledge on this particular subject is non existant so no need to attack me and call me a troll for no reason atall cause I will not put here what their salaries are monthly. You dont know who I am and what I do know on this little subject. You may know more than me on alot of other subjects and I dont go around attacking you so there is no need to get nasty towards me like you do to other forum members when they question you or let you know you are wrong or not up to date on a certain matter. No need to be narcistic facetious, its only a forum where people take up some of their time and talk about all things cycling. Hope you have a good day further and learn to accept things you dont know and learn from them. Cheers Cv2

Im sure you would but again, I dont think KE or DG would like that splattered all over the hub. Well done on your earnings but they earn more than you do p/m.

JacoFiets: I dont believe it would be right to put riders salaries on an open forum. If I knew what yours is, would you like it if I post it?

Unfortunately you dont know. You cant compare rugby to cycling in SA and if you think the "goons" from rugby dont train and are on proper programs then again, you dont know.

TrainingPeaks WK0+. It must be noted that there alot of other variables that will judge his CTL incline or decline in fitness. It is 1 that measures increase in fitness.

How little you know about the slaries of some of SA top cyclists and 360life riders earn more than alot of upper management.
  12. Yes Peak Power and Threshold. I agree with what you say but I just wanted to say that the test does not only predecit V02, there alot of other parameters its produces. 20min test is good but alot of the time your PPO/V02 test is close to 15-20min in length on average so the numbers are there regardless if you go and hammer a 20min hill for FTP and then x by 95%. Often numbers are the same.
  13. Ramp test is not just a V02 test, also produces PPO not just V02. Its a accurate test and well used to determine factors like PPO, V02, Crossover, LT to name a few.
  14. When training correctly, adaptations will only be visible in 3mths time and are noticeable. To go full tilt for 40km everyday will not yeild positive results as you will be fatgiued and not have time to recover and let the training take effect.
  15. Edman you are correct, when I download my own files and then upload to Strava I wish I was pushing those sort of numbers and sometimes wonder why the numbers are so low for the effort. Its a cool app/site thou cause the times are accurate for segments so you can still honestly compare with others.
  16. Tarmac: Same as you.
  17. Strava's power configurations are wrong when comparing to actual power readings from a SRM, PT or Quarq unit. My actual power for Argus was as follows at 61kg: 1min: 464w 5min: 382w 10min: 334w 20min: 311w 60min: 295w The long intervals of 10min and more were easy to maintain during the race but there not many of them in the race but the short efforts like the 4 and 5min efforts hurt especially at the end of the race like on Chappies and Suikerbossie when you hit them at like 70 and 90km with some fatigue in your legs.
  18. No Im not but you all act like some people are the devil and you do no wrong ever.
  19. I take it none of you have ever run a red light, taken a pen that is not yours or cussed?
  20. DaleE, your post holds no water, there is a difference when there are 150 riders who are so way out of their depth and are on their absolute limit that whenthings happen in a split second they are totally out ridden in strength and speed and bike handling that when something happens they are unable to react in a positive manner and there casue huge crashes. I would like you with your current seeded skill to ride in this gorup, I will bet you wont last till Wynberg hill and if you did whent he group swerves for a punctured rider or a dropped chain at 70kmh you will not be able ot react. The group you ride in had rider sall of similar skill and strength therefore the group was safe. Elite wasnt, there were SV riders, development and "elite" riders in that bunch who finish 5-10min or more off the winner in local league now they got to ride against SA's very top Pro riders. No chance. With regards to your TDF comment, you are also wrong, there was alot of criticism againt the Sojur team who were given a wildcard to ride and they happend to cause many of the bunch crashes due to their lack of skill and being otu of their depth. The Elite group was to big by about 150 riders. Malcolm has evey right to complain and has full valid reason to.
