  1. We should stop wining about service and start doing simple things like that ourselves. I've been cycling for 13 years now and I have seen bad service over the years. Get a bicycle how to repair book and start learning to service and repair your own bikes. When you do it yourself you will be sure to know how to fix it in a race.

  3. Make sure you can race flat out for at least 1h45min, train to start hard and fast. Then make sure you warm up good before the start. It will help to go and ride the track like 5 laps and start going faster with every lap, and try and memorize the circuit and study technical sections to get the best lines. If possible watch past events from that circuit and look at wich lines works best. Good luck and go for Gold.
  4. I only use to ride mtb for training, and my results were not so good. Since I started training with roadbike results has improved in leaps and bounds. With a road bike you can do intervals long endurance rides and it's less maintenance. Also cheapeer on the wallet. I can definately recomend training wirth road bike, just try and do at least two mountainbike rides before a mtb race to get use to the bike before the race.

  17. I'm a big fan of Raleigh Bicycles, from the road series to the Mountainbikes. I ride a RM9 Carbon Raleigh hardtail. Simmilar to one in Picture only with XTR. But i have one question: When will raleigh ever make a Dual-sus in Carbon. Common Raleigh, i'm sure if you had one Kevin Evans would be riding it! Now look what he rides now. Vucan, Wow ! What a bike, looks great and rides like a annimal. Now, hope Raleigh comes alive and develops a mean Carbon Dual-sus Machine. I'll bet you i'll be the first to buy one!

  25. I have recently bought a set of Fulcrum red metal 5 disc. the weight +- 1850g, excellent wheels. Not the best in weight class but for R2200 Sealed bearings, 2:1 spoke ratio. I tested them in the Sibebe MTB race in Swaziland and they took some heavey beating thru rocky and technical decents. So if your not to much of a weight weenie Red Metal 5 excellent. (My bike weighs in at 9,6kg with these wheels)
