Saw that one this morning, looks in pretty bad shape. I want to get something new.
Hi guys,
Had a look at all the normal local online shops. Anyone know where i can buy a chain guide locally for my bike? I want to convert my bike to 1x10. Thanks in advance
I use Roku devices on all my tvs in the house, they work like a charm. I have a dedicated server in the study and installed Plex on it then i can stream any movies or series that i have. I also signed up to unotelly and get a lot of channels that can be streamed to any TV such as netflix.
This Foam rolling thing...do you get instructions on how to do it properly?
Looking at something like that to try and relieve Achilles tendon / calf muscle pain but not sure how to use the foam thing effectively
Google is your friend:

Thanks guys, looks like Wahoo it is. Just need to try find stockists of this
The Wahoo for iPhone 4 includes the HRM and the Ant+ dongle and cost about R600. The equivalent garmin package cost about R300 more than that
There also a wrist strap called "Scosche Rhythm" that is bluetooth but the cheapest one i could find when i was looking was $80 excluding shipping to RSA.
Awesome thanks, looks like the Wahoo is exactly what i need, had a look at wahoofitness.co.za anyone where else i could buy this from?
I did the CF orientation. In my opinion it seemed way too focussed on how quickly or how many of a WOD you could do, as opposed to the quality of the WOD. I never carried on. I met a guy who started the same time as I did the orientation class about six months after - he stopped after an injury, and saw three guys throw their shoulders out at the box in that time.
The instrutor is key - its no good them being certified by CF, they also need to see that each person does what they are doing with the right form and correct the form where it is bad. The CF boxes that get that right would be the ones to go to.
Agree 100%
I don't think Discovery will subsidize crossfit boxes, purely due to the admin involved. Each box is in effect a private gym and has nothing to do with another box, whereas with Virgin they probably only deal with head office, and its Virgin's problem to allocate the money to each gym?
You probably right and make a good point. Just a note, everyone should be aware of is that not all gyms are Reebok affiliated CrossFit gyms, most are privately owned, Just make sure your coach knows what he is doing and is properly qualified.
Had a look at the Ant+ on google, would still need to get a heart rate monitor to talk to the Ant+ device. I know you get HR Monitors that are bluetooth and will talk directly to the phone but the problem is the bluetooth version.
You can log the workout on your smartphone as well
Yes I know that but if they have Discovery Point at a CrossFit gym means that they actually recognize that gym, hopefully striking some deal with vitality members.
The cross fit gym i attend has a Discovery point, where by you log your workout every time you finish. you get 150 vitality points.
Interesting..... never seen it before but maybe it is a starting point I guess.
So I have an iPhone 4 lying around and wanted to use it for Strava and Gym would like to get a Heart rate monitor for it but it seems that all the Bluetooth heart rate monitors are Bluetooth 4.0 (iPhone 4s & iPhone 5) and iPhone 4 only has Bluetooth 2.1.
Anyone using a heart rate monitor on iPhone 4 that they can recommend?
My gym also offers Cross Training it is a very good workout works on strength and fitness similar to Cross Fit, I find that the Crossfit gyms are just too expensive if you have to pay for gym and crossfit every month can work out expensive.
Would be nice if the gyms could have a crossfit section or the medical aids come to some sort of agreement with the crossfit gyms!
I would split the MTB and sell off the spares. Not sure on the Trek R3500 sounds fair.
Hi Guys,
Came across this advert for a 3 bike rack on the classifieds section, I saw it was from autostyle new for R395!
