Thanks for the valuable info and advice guys as always....So you say I should try and preserve the head badge...that's the only piece worth something... I don't intend spending much on it, just a sand down, respray and I see the gears have been replaced with cheap stuff so will make it a single speed rather and preserve the Zini and Cosmos as racers.

Hi guys, recently posted pics of the Zini I acquired, the bug has bitten and I got these 2 more bikes. Info/Help and comments welcome. Cosmos I don't intend to do anything, just clean up, service and use it as is. Might just get a set of tyres. Raleigh is where I need some help, has very old style wheels, seems the rear changer has been replaced with a knock off, its a 6 speed. I would like to have the frame sanded down and repainted, new decals etc and keep it a road race bike and not convert to SS/Fixed. How do I get spares for the gears etc? Any ideas or suggestions and info on both bikes. I don't see much of Cosmos and this Raleigh. It has been made in SA and has Afrikaans as well on the decal. Thanks Z

@ Spirog & Wazz_pe, thanks will check the components out and advise. I managed to get a Raleigh bicycle today, made in SA (Springs), will send a pic, its a bit rough as the guy I bought it from has been using it as a daily so maybe I should convert this classic to a SS/Fixie, will send pics later tonight. I will be in touch with Annette and see what they have to say about the decals.

Hi Guys, Looking for some help and advice, I am keen on restoring this lovely Zini classic but I am worried of a few things and 1 of them mainly is losing the original decals (pics attached), should I strip the bike down and restore and is there somebody who can replicate these decals? I would like to put them back after repaint etc. Secondly should I go single speed or fixed gear or leave as a geared bike and restore ? Thanks guys.

Hi members, please help. I am planning to buY a fixie/SS, what is the purpose of these bikes? I have a Scott road bike and planning to buy a MTB, but I love the look of the SS bikes and want to find out are they good for riding around etc? Any help advice appreciated. Cheers
