  1. I use White Lightning but looking to change with dry conditions in winter it doesn't seem to last. Squirt will be next.
  2. Giant XTC 29er and loving it, especially on technical descents. Don't have that feeling that I'm going to go over the bars. Feels faster except on singletrack. I can't seem to change direction quickly without shifting my weight. Overall very happy with it and definitely more comfortable.
  3. I agree Should be < R 5,000 R 5,000 to R 12,000 R 12,000 to R 20,000 R 20,000 to R 35,000 > R 35,000
  4. Hahahaha.............. wax = extreme pain veet = blocked drain shave = blood everywhere Maybe I'll just go as a furball?
  5. Same here but gf wants me to wax/veet/shave.....not so sure it's a good idea.
  6. Started with 3l camelbak, then downgraded to 2l and finally worked out that with waterpoints I only need to carry a litre. I don't like the wet patch on my back from the camelbak and only use it when going on leasurely longer rides esp with the missus when everything except the ghd must be packed. Do you need to tighten the dial after inserting the bottle?
  7. Don't think it will be tough or technical but it is still 40km and won't be downhill all the way.
  8. Yip me, dressed in drag, will be with the missus.
  9. I'm not sure the Italian job will last very long in the hands of a knuckledragger like me, I need to look at something made from weapons grade titanium that is indestructable.

    Epic or Joberg2c

Should the choice not be between the epic & the pioneer? J2C is a must!
  11. Bottle & cage mounted using topeak mount (not mounted onto seatrails but post)
  12. Picture included showing break, this is the cage I collected on Friday. The previous one broke in the same place on both sides.
  13. Hahahaha..........I'll take a picture and post it later. Maybe the bottle was too heavy?
  14. Can only get it in/out by pulling in straight up and inserting it straight down - the 1st one broke without removing or replacing the bottle, I only noticed it after wondering why the bottle was gone (and I was so thirsty!)
  15. Been using the spez bottle recommended with the cage, yes it is a tight fit. Waiting for answer, I took it back to the shop for a refund. They have already replaced and it lasted half a race.
  16. Its the Specialized Rib Cage (not carbon) and it breaks at the bottom of the 'V' when viewing it side-on.
  17. Looks similar to bontrager, not sure it will do the job
  18. The spez cage has a lip and the bottle is embossed but the cage keeps snapping. Thx karma & TNOSE, I'll give it a try.
  19. Tried topeak, bontrager and specialized. Topeak & Bontrager bottles gone, Spez cages keeps snapping despite it apparently being indestructible.
  20. www.usn.co.za and follow the link
  21. I agree - bike came with Racing Ralphs and I did the tubeless conversion. Tyres wore down very quickly but I changed not because of the wear but because of the sidewall cuts. I have Geax rear and snakeskin front and it is very clear that the Racing Ralph wears much quicker! Satisfied with the performance but will probably replace with another brand when due.
  22. Would be helpful but I've never seen a profile prior to a USN race
