  1. Just checked the Santa Cruz website. They also dropped a couple of 26 inch bikes. So no more; Blur XC, Blur LT and Superlight 26.
  2. So 2 of their 3 all-mountain bikes is now 650b. Good call, as people who can't afford a Bronson will turn to the Heckler instead.
  3. It still gets 4.5 out of 5. You also quoted out of context: Riders looking for a revolutionary 650b ride might want to close this page now – the '27.5in wheel' element of the Solo became apparent after a few hours in the saddle, but isn't something most riders will pick up on immediately. Expect the ride of a 26in-wheeled bike, plus a little more stability and roll-over. It's always easy to pop the front of the bike and generally play around, too – there's no doubt that the Solo is more fun than a 29er in this respect. Your link goes to a Specialized bike fit review. 4. I also read that, but later on he tweeted: "It's been such a long wait... Finally, the seasons about to begin" So hopefully, it's all go!
  5. I don't think SC will drop their single pivot bikes. At one stage they had 3 suspension options; single pivot, APP & VPP. It looked as if they would drop the single pivot, but they let the APP design go, because it was just not selling enough.

  12. It's also using SC's VPP suspension. The "Mountain Rescue" Orange and blue combo is also awesome!

  16. The new bike is called Solo, and they are releasing it today : http://www.trailscotland.co.uk/santa-cruz-exclusive-launch/ That is why they have SCOOP on top of the Solo text. Some guys on the MTBR forums checked on SC's website and they found the name with weights under the Trail section.
  17. A new Santa Cruz bike has been revealed!!! It's called Solo, it´s a 650b bike with 125mm of travel, a 68 degrees head angle and a 73 degrees seat angle. The only pic at the moment is this: http://fcdn.mtbr.com/attachments/santa-cruz/804344d1370038659-june-1st-velo-vert-juin-2013-256.jpg
  18. Yep, the Juliana range is interesting! http://www.julianabicycles.com The only thing I feel that sucks is that the components is not as good as the ones found on the "male" equivalent bikes. Santa Cruz will also release another bike tomorrow. Biggest guess at the moment is a 120mm 650b trail bike...
  19. This arrived! http://www.dieateljee.com/files/slxgroupset.jpg A complete SLX 2x10 groupset (+ rotors) from Merlin Cycles. They have a special on the 2x10 at the moment with a cost of +-R4500 landed. http://www.merlincycles.com/bike-shop/mtb-parts/transmission-gears/groupsets-mtb/shimano-slx-m670-2-x-10-disc-brake-groupset.html
  20. I've got a white highball frame and most probably the longest taking build in the history of builds (luckily I only have wheels and a couple of loose bits left). I've also done some research around the frame, and from what I've read it's an amazing frame, especially regarding climbing and it's "flickability". The plus points like you have mentioned is exactly why I decided to go with it. SC also updated their 26' do-it-all hardtail, Chameleon, with the same tube forms as the highball, so it will be able to take a beating. I can't wait to get my build done!!!
  21. Also thought he was an upstanding seller, but after him not returning my calls, messages or sms's to find out why he did not drop off an slx groupset at my office (wanted to pick it up from him, but he insisted on dropping it off), i wouldn't recommend anyone dealing with him. Just on the basis that he didn't communicate.
  22. Sorry for the highjack, but Jody, can you please respond to my messages?
  23. Not sure, but they are looking at carbon
