Anyone know a little more about these Munn (Mung?) kids bikes? Googled - but nada! Our youngest is turning 4 and now ready for 1st bike. These look like great starters. Sadly "Ou Boet's hand-me-down" hasn't quite made the grade!

General program for me...2 x 1hr sessions midweek and a 3hr ride on the weekends. We were headed for about 25th overall but my partner had the craziest day on a bike on Day 3...early crash, then broken chain, later rear-wheel self-ejecting, knocked off bike coming out the JoJo tunnel... Awesome experience though - must be very close to SA's best 3-day!

Garmin showed it was shorter this year...95 on mine. Thanking my lucky stars though as the cramps infiltrated way too early! From 56 already %$#^! Was expecting around 5:15 and ended on 4:49. Like I said lucky the mileage had been chopped. Not one I'll look back on in fondness.

Drink of choice for Hill 2 Hill 105 on Sun will be 32Gi Endurance 1st bottle and then onto 32Gi Accelerate for the latter stages. Thing is everyone's always banging on about the importance of including real food along the way. Would the Race Food nougat blocks qualify and would they work in conjunction with the 32Gi products?

My 1st Argus next year...super excited! What are the chances of a sub 3 for a relative newcomer with only 2 previous road results to go by: 3:05 at Shova last year (started in MTB category), and then 2:45 at Tour Durban earlier this year (does Tour Durban even count towards seeding?).

Hoping to do my 2nd 105! After my 1st attempt in 2011 (also after only 11mnths doing the MTB thing), entered again last year and when I showed up at registration to wade through the swamplands to get the compulsory oversized jeep t-shirt I decided right there and then to wait for 2013...common sense must always prevail! Weather's looking good so holding thumbs!

Agreed all fun....but we're use to "Adventuring" as a group ( sounds a little risky I know). Anyone looking to swap out - Race for Adventure - please PM me.

A little pre-emptive I know, but I thought I'd give it a go. Got two mates who were 'dossing' - registered for the Adventure but thought they had until the end of the month to pay. Sani back office phoned them and told them they have lost out and should they wish to still take part they need to sign up for the Race or Trail...(proof that the Adventure is KING!) So we're trying our luck already....anyone who's on the Adventure that would like to swap out for the Race?

Anyone know this area well? Camping at Bonamanzi at the end of the month and was wondering if there are any worthwhile trails to ride in the area? Think there are some trails in False Bay Park but apparently you need to be accompanied by an accredited guide to ride these. Maybe this has more to do with safety. Even looking at just sticking to district road just to get some miles in and to keep a training program ticking. Unless I can hook up with some experienced riders in the area I'd probably be riding alone. Would it be safe - both ito animals and skabengas?

Use to make the annual pilgrimage to play 18 holes at Fish River...may just trade it for some fun in the sticks at Mpekweni going forward. How much further is it up the coast? How much riding is there at Mpekweni?

A cycling shop in "CAH" - this is excellent news! Been going to Kenton on Sea every year of my life for the Dec/Jan hols. Only took up MTB 2 years ago and last year persuaded the whole family to acquire 2 bikes for our holidays down there...now we have peace of mind that they can be properly serviced from time to time. Was really worried about how quickly these bikes would deteriorate in storage - not ideal for a bike to stand idle for 11 months in a seaside town! Can't wait to try that trail at Sebumo. Ride from Kenton, do the trail, and return for a nice 45km outing. Crazy thing is last year I was riding past Sebumo and I remember thinking that that would be the most amazing chunk of land to inroduce a bit of riding on! Anyone know how the Kariega's mouth is looking after the recent heavy rains?

Ja that Groot Rivier Pass was a beast! Rode in a 3-man team last year and had a blast...think we managed 13hrs or so...was obviously very sad to miss out on all the Baviaans scenery though!

Anybody on the hub do both routes, ie. original and last year's "Langs-Baviaans"? Scenery aside, how would you compare it as a physical challenge?

No water crossings then? I saw on the latest newsletter there's talk of a bit of water lying about.

Worth taking two pairs of riding shoes for this one?
