  1. Cool !! thanx
  2. Hi Droo, Do you have a 12mm coarse thread one for the back wheel of a KTM - and what is the price please
  3. I can't see why not - it's a fact - the driver of said vehicle did knock you down - you are not blaming the owner It's up to the owner then to prove he wasn't behind the wheel of the vehicle at the time of the offence
  4. Wanna sell that little badge (causing all that disproportionate weight transfer to you bike's front end ) Maybe I can also start collecting them How many versions has Kona had over the years ?
  5. Wouldn't it be nice if our bikes all had those metal "brand" badges on the head tube like the old days - wish I had collected my old BSA , Raleigh and others from when I was a kid.I think in the USA they collect the old badges as a hobby ???
  6. You are missing the point >> most of the money raised during Argus goes to charities - not the cyclists (PPA affiliated or otherwise) how much money does CSA give to charities or to you as a cyclist ?
  7. Yea like the cops give a rat's @rse about things like this ????
  8. I am not condoning the riding on Otto Du Plessis in the direction of CT from Table View >>> but I also sometimes do it (put on flame suit) as it is hectic trying to cross the intersections at Pentze/Blouwberg and Blouwberg/Otto Du Plessis, thanx to all those idiots in cars coming (mostly) from Parklands, who do not need to stop at red lights and will drive into the intersection which is already blocked. By using Otto Du Plessis I can cross over to the cycle path at more cyclist friendly traffic lights at Dolfin Beach, Lagoon Beach or Race Course Rd. The shoulder is wide on the section I use and I assume the other cyclists who do as I do aslo feel safer crossing at the above intersections. But I agree riding on O D P in the dark with no lights is a really dumb thing to do
  9. I got nailed at 04:20 in the morning for an illegal (small) number plate = R500.00 Haven't paid it yet (this was 18 months ago ) so I'm hoping it will go away
  10. Living in CT have to pay these sort of fees foe every Sani2c - still worth it though !!! Maybe it's time to start a "rent a bike for Argus " business ?
  11. Not with this ratio of small frame vs rider size !
  12. I had the 750 S which I managed to crack the red interface window - sent to Polar who said its old , you've had enough use out of it - sorry no trade in assistance for a buying a new one >>> so bought the Garmin edge instead
  13. Smoking while trying to get fit is the same as screwing to save viginity ???
  14. Holy Cr@p >>>> where did you find this ??? - it's amazing !!!
  15. I think a lot more than that died in London last year ? It's hectic for cyclists in London Although I'm not condoning the cyclists actions - maybe it was the last staw for a number of near misses or transgressings that made him act like a d**s - God knows we have all been there ????
  16. You mean like the vetual rider on my garmin Edge ??
  17. "hijack back on"Yip the light of my life - both rescues now 9 + 10 years old "hijack off"
  18. Wouldn't it be nice if SlaapStad did the same - officially Not ban the Moonlight Mass ride instead ?
  19. I think this is better than haging them upside down from the rafters as I do - sometimes I need to piump the brake levers to get them working again - feels like the an air bubble has gone to the caliper ??
  20. I have checked with AC Culture - the driver/owner is unknown to them - he does however live in Cape Town - the car is seen regularly arround town - so it's up to the cops now ----- like that's going to do a lot of good
  21. Patches this build is way beyond impressive !!!! This could be the start of the Great SA Bike Build Off ??? The amount of work and individualism is astounding - well done- you can be justifiably proud of your work Only problem is once done are you actually going to ride the beauty ? or hang it on the lounge wall ???
  22. I have a 1978 2000cc Air Cooled Kombi - my dayly driver when I'm not on the bike commuting and a 1972 1600cc beach buggy - just for fun
