  1. Hi guys, I am registered for the 94,7 this year. Last year I tore the ligaments in my foot 2 weeks before the 94,7 so I did not ride it and I fell out of tune with cycling slightly, I haven't done any races this year, just a couple of 100 km training rides, The last ride was probably 3 months back I do a twice a week spin session at the gym, and general weight exercises. My last 94,7 was in 2016 with a time of 3:40 Any thoughts as to how I can train for next months ride/race with only 35 days to go? Thanks Yours sincerely A stressed out cyclist
  2. I just had a chat with the race office now, according to the guy who answered the phone 'All racetec events above 90kms are included from Sep 15 - Sep 16' I forgot to enquire about mtb events :l

Will the 2016 Argus and the 2015 94.7 be used in the calculation of a seeding time?

  5. Need some thoughts from the experienced guys out there I do a long a ride (80-90kms) every Sunday and try to spin twice a week. However on Tuesday night I pulled my hamstring playing soccer, Long walking strides do incur some pain and I can feel it's strained, I don't think there's tear as I can stand, walk normally and I haven't had the need for pain killers. When can I get back on the bike? (spin + long rides) I'm trying to avoid the physio because it's R700 each time I visit. Any other recommendations?
  6. IMHO a bialetti brikka (stove top espresso maker) makes a far more superior shot of espresso, than any Nespresso machine I've ever used. If it's ease of use and convenience you're after, a Nespresso will suffice, however the cost per cup of coffee is exorbitant.

  8. Hello fellow cyclists I'm currently in a confused state as to how to tackle my breakfast on the morning of the Amashova. 1. I'm used to having future life, a banana and a cup of coffee 40 mins before I do my local ride. 2. The issue that arises on the Amashova race day is that I'll wake up @ 4:00am, do I eat some protein like boiled eggs have a cup of coffee, travel to PMB, take my future life, a banana and a coffee with me and eat 40 mins before I ride?? 3. I have a formula that I'm used to and this is a change. 4. Am I thinking too much in to this? Some advice would be appreciated Thanks
  9. Where can I get this done? How much should I expect to pay?
  10. Thanks for the inspiration fellow hubbers, my ride looks really schweet.
