  1. I have seen this before as well. Wheel of a bakkie came off, ran neatly alongside the vehicle then passed infront of the vehicle and into the bushes. So yes, you're eyes still work perfectly!
  2. Updated my post with a sneak preview of the light in its raw form...
  3. Website will be up and running hopefully by end November - start Desember.. Specs: 3 Cree Q5 can upgrade to 4 Cree Q5, (Busy designing a 1 LED housing for the guys who wants a even cheaper light and don't need the massive amounts of light) 5 modes, Internal battery pack, Smart Charger, Waiting for the exact cost of manufacturing for the housing... the first units will go for about R2200 - R2500, might even be cheaper! 4. Some Moto-X bikes also has the same function on the levers.. would it not be to prevent braking the levers in the case of a crash?? Thats what I think...
  5. Phen please send me those!! pretty please!!
  6. Getting out of Gauteng is not that difficult.. We went the Witbank, Secunda, Vrede route. A bit of a "long way round" I know but it was sort of on our route seeing we aimed for Bethlehem.
  7. Phen, just sent you your email.. Forget about riding hard the first couple of days.. Ride hard after your first 5 day stint.. And yes take spare kit! Keep the backpacks as light as possible!
  8. We (2 of us) have done exactly that last year Desember.. PTA - Dannabay without a backup vehicle. And I would agree with the others, try not to do it alone! If you go at it without a backup I would advise you to get yourself panniers and pannier bags!! a backpack on your back is not very comfortable on day 5! and some days (only some days) you will wish for a backup vehicle! We planned our route according to which towns we knew people in and what places we would like to see. And it was a MTB friendly route!! (PM your email adress and I can forward our route to you) If you have limmited time be prepared to do +- 100km a day, some days 140km! PS: We will be at it again this year after the Sabie Experience!!
  9. Banji: There is a line, and your over it!
  10. Also like the Mavics... Trying to find out if someone has any better idea?
  11. Hi All! What will the best wheels be that fit into this category? Budget: R3000 - R4000 Hubs with sealed bearings V-Brake rims weight: 1500g or less for F and R Thanx!
  12. Do anyone ride a Raleigh RM7 2005 frame? Or have any thoughts on the frame?
