  1. so to the original question, with the replaced chain, replace your cassette as well, and only your chain rings if they are looking sharp with a U shaped groove between them.
  2. Tisk Tisk!!If you dont wanna hassle replace all of it!! Agreed Jockey wheels are the last thing to go on a drivetrain with regards to wear and tear, worn chain rings dont cause gears skipping but if your chain rings are worn badly then replacing a chain wont help for long as the chainrings will wear down the chain rather quickly and hence wear down your cassette.Generally i replace Jockey wheels, chainrings and cassette at same time and replace a chain every few months.
  3. he said race with
  4. Chain rings, cassette and jockey wheels prob need replacing!!!use a chain tool to measure how far gone the old chain was and then if it was completely worn you will know all of the above needs replacing or not!

  10. Use to run hard pressure...38psi, now run 30 psi and it is so much better, i ride a hardtail and makes such differenece, acts like suspension on all the small bumps and helps traction through bumpy section and you get better handling/cornering!!!
  11. Other thing you should be careful of is denting your rim when running low pressures......so it must be just hard enough to escape it reaching your rim when going over roots etc....otherwise that loose feeling in your tyres is the good grippy stuff that makes you corner like a demon!!!
  12. Crikey!!!wouldnt have a clue!!!sounds like marketing!!!
  13. Red Route if i'm not mistaken....about 23km loop
  14. I wondered why this guy was standing around yesterday...he was taking pics,he must be the guy with Ibis......great ride yday
  15. Trick of the trade is if you have a compressor, angle the nozle on the edge of the grip and pull the trigger to release the air, pull it off, 2seconds. Provided you have a compressor....otherwise sunlight liquid and sweat!
  16. The problem comes down to your bike being too clean......if it was dirty and grity it would happen!!decided to give my bike a solid clean all over and guess what......never use to happen, but now it does.....a slipping flipping seatpost!!!!
