  1. Bump Anyone here in the Balito area interested in going for a ride at Holla this weekend or this coming Monday?
  2. Nice, I'm the guy on the front right on the yellow and orange Bianchi. http://capcha.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/IMG_0767.jpg
  3. Angle doesn't help but for the sake of the image, Robbie is towing the lot!
  4. I didn't see it but surely you don't have to grab a shirt to push?!
  5. Was my first one and what an EXPERIENCE! I'm pretty sure everyone had lost their sense of humour before Ashton with that wind. We jumped off at 06:38 and managed a 6h03 but boy was their drama in our team!! Our "team leader" didn't have the balls to say that he had blown (we were 7 riders at that point with 45-50km left.) So instead of sacrificing himself, he told his son to hang back and help him out. Could have cracked a 5h50 at least but hey, it is what it is... Anyway, I enjoyed it all things considered and hope I get the opportunity to ride again next year.
  6. Some info from a different aspect. Only problem with that is that you're adding weight to a part of the bike that rotates at "high" velocity, this has a huge impact on the inertia of the tyre and thus it's agility at speed. I can't remember the formula but I'm sure it was something along the lines of every increase of 400g in a wheel (excluding hubs) equates to something like a kilo of weight at a certain speed.
  7. "In The Woods" should make for some good viewing.
  8. As long as the Schwable's are Snakeskin, you'll be fine. Soon you will be able to get the Rocket Ron in snakeskin as well. My training partner has done about 6000km on his Racing Ralph EVO tyre (rear) and that includes an Epic, Sani2c, Lionman, Route 66 as well as some other races and training rides with no issues despite being the EVO and not snakeskin.
  9. Haha, they were a bit lazy in the design department, like a Porsche 911. Main difference is fabric and that little "DC - 2012" on the top right. As reference, here's thee olde.
  10. Most of us on the team belong to the club... Will be my first as well, and I'm rather nervous for the distance as well considering I'm riding with the "A" team.
  11. Haha, I was wondering where this was going.
  12. And the Vodacom group too please.
  13. What info can they obtain if they have your email address?

I also know of 3 people who rode without chips.
  23. Last year after being off the bike for a year and a half, I started up again in August and rode a 2h40 at 94.7. So it's definitely possible.
