Hey all. Shot in the dark here. I managed to get a late spot entry into Pinotage today, due to my dad's partner pulling out last minute due to injury. Last year I rented a range extender for my Levo SL for W2W, but because the event is next week, Specialized Experience Center Stellenbosch has all their equipment already booked out. Is there anybody out there that would be open to renting out their Levo range extender battery to me for the event? Obviously I'm willing to pay for the rental, and open to negotiating a fair price. Thanks 🙏

Riders braking in corners is what wreaks total havoc on trails. Regardless of the weight of the bike or torque being applied to the rear wheel (which is irrelevant unless you're pedalling through a corner downhill). Comparing the impact a bikes weight and rear wheel torque has on the condition of an incline/flat section of a trail is infinitesimal in comparison to the damage of braking in corners, or overusing the rear brake and not braking properly.

Rode in Junior Men. But it seemed that many guys my age and even older rode in Youth men? Didn't rock the podium, my brakes are giving me a crap load of trouble. COntaminated pads, rotors need to be resurfaced, they squeak like crazy. I just need new brakes all in all. So in the first run I took it real easy, and in the second I ended up going over the bars off a drop

Yep I did the race. It was really awesome.

Its at Paarl, along with the WP DH prize giving. Pity I can't make it But its really nice to see loads of photo's coming from one race, usually it's a struggle to find photo's of yourself after a race.

Dont have the current specs of my bike, but its a Specialized Big Hit. Well I'm super amped for the Contermanskloof race this weekend after watching this promo video. Its awesome! Western Cape DH Championships Its a real pity that I was unable to get myself new forks and bars before the race though...

Well, I went riding yesterday at the mill. And it was pretty windy. As I was approaching the main big double on the track, I was already committed, and a huge gust blew from nowhere. So in the air my bike got blown totally sideways, and i ended up falling, getting a face full of dirt, a bar end in my abdomen, and a HUGE gash in my knee. It was a hole in my knee. Obviously that had to happen on THE day I forgot to take my knee gaurds So now I can hardly even walk on my knee, oh well, thats my lesson learned.

Howzit guys, i might go riding at paarl / tokai on saturday morning. Anyone else keen? Maya? Jason? Angus?

AH bugger, I cant get a lift to riding with my dad next weekend .... But hopefully I can get a lift with Brett. Im up for tokai or paarl, whatever you guys want. Its cool that you guys can ride in the week, I wish I could! Do you ride after school?
