  1. Heal up quick, would be interested in the Shova Entry...
  2. That't not to heavy a wind, except for late on and if you still out there at 11 i feel for you! as it goes from 8km/h -> 20km/h
  3. Never liked this event lol, but hell if i wont be there!...lol, this and EPR .... i always see my a$$
  4. Have to say i am reading a whole lot of negativity.. about the race, got stopped by a train, road some gravel all in all except for the wind and the edgy people in the bunch touching the brakes ( to be expected first race up ) it was fun..., recall very few cars... on the route.. pretty safe.. provided you stay your side of the white line
  5. never been an issue in the past when i have raced should be fine
  6. Great fun, and normally pretty cold on the morning but yes there is light at the end of the tunnel, its the first race after winter training!
  7. Dear All Each year a group of intrepid cyclists ride from Clarens to Johannesburg to raise money for Rays of Hope. Year by year the tour has grown both in participation and value in what it has been able to raise for the charity. Rays of Hope is a non-profit organisation. Its focus is on unemployment, health care, education, and child-headed households (i.e. homes without parents/grandparents). Child-headed households are homes which are run by one of the remaining children, as the parents have either passed away or have deserted the family. You can read more about the good work that Rays of Hope is doing in the attached brochure, or by going onto the website www.raysofhope.co.za. There is a short DVD of the Cycle Tour of Hope which you can watch on this link: http://raysofhope.co.za/event/cycle-tour-of-hope-2 The organisation is in need of ongoing funding to assist with operations. This year we have set ourselves a target of R1 Million, which will all go directly to the causes supported, as all of the costs of the tour are covered by entry fees & corporate sponsor. If you are interested in perhaps supporting the charity let me know, there is are also available slots on the cycle shirt available for sponsorship, You can inbox if you are interested and will gladly send you the details Thanks Sam
  8. Being on the race calender and getting discount for it are two completely entirely different things, the race calender just means points, nothing more nothing less, now if you look at the calender and they have a discount % next to it on the website then you will get money back for it.
  9. This event is so much more than a time
  10. That's a lotta cash for cones!
