  1. DM me - I used to ride with them when on the town side of CT. Very cool group of peeps - coffee ride group (me) and the King of the Hill groups.
  2. My 6 year old is 120cm and I've just bought her the Avalanche Flash 20". Rigid Fork, hydraulic brakes, 7 speed, Shimano components. R5,4k. Almost R600 cheaper than online R5999 price point. And I researched the hell out of it. Advice I got was they will bounce around on sus, and obvs good to start off using body for suspension. For her age - 3 speed would even work as its going to be her second race this Sat. But its nigh impossible to get those specs without weight. She weighs about 22kgs. 20inch is definitely the size bracket for your son. Depending on how fast he grows - if its anything like mine - bank on jumping up sizes every year for now. She is on the lowest her seat post can go and in fact, we even cut the last bit so that it can go lower so she can put more than the tip of her toes on the ground to feel more confident. So its definitely big enough. Random input from the side.
  3. I know, I know. I'm late to the party. My excuse was pregnant/baby. I'm looking for a unicorn - a trainer which wont make noise (at least not enough noise to wake up a toddler). That is stable (mom can't be in a cast). And offers resistance (I don't see myself on a road/mountain any time soon). AND - the kicker - not going to break the bank. If you can pick up a second hand one without the risk of a dodgy purchase - all the better. Thanks sportsfans!
  4. One entry for Karoo to Coast 2014 available as substitution. I also have booked/paid for a seat on a shuttle leaving Knysna at 4am for Uniondale on the day of the race. This was a cancellation...so they are full otherwise. Inbox me: lexischoltz@gmail.com
  5. Try BEN _ the bicycle empowerment network. They are an NGO who collect, build and give bikes to under-privileged peeps. They also promote cycling as a sport to less fortunate. Great organisation

  8. Recently back in CT, and looking for group of people or person to train with. At the mo, riding 6/8 hrs, but looking to up my game. Also to ride more mtb. I'm chilled, but don't want to amble along the trails. I'm based the cbd at the mo. Let me know, it's trial and error???? Alexis
