Still need to upgrade the wheels. Thanks to: Triangle Sports in PE for the excellent deal on the Frameset, Bars and build Matchstix and CWC for superb prices and service and the parts.

  7. I might be able to help you with a charger... the X4 use 2x series Li-ion... needs a charger that cuts off at 8.4v. The std charger uses current limiting to charge 3/4 of the capacity and then changes to voltage limiting to reach the full voltage... Send me a photo of the spec sticker on the charger... johannes at brighter-lights.com Regards Jo Hi Johannes, I emailed you the info on the charger - did you get it? Can you help? Thanks CF

PS: Our launch special until the end of October is R450 per ROOM (1,2 or 3 people sharing).
  16. Hey Johannes, Omnico don't have stock of the chargers. How much would one of your chargers be? I'll e-mail you a pic of the sticker when I get a chance. Thanks for the help
  17. Classic !
  18. It's unlikely that the Ellies adaptor will be a li-ion charger... it's most likely a normal DC adaptor, which will work to some extend, but stuff up your battery long term. I might be able to help you with a charger... the X4 use 2x series Li-ion... needs a charger that cuts off at 8.4v. The std charger uses current limiting to charge 3/4 of the capacity and then changes to voltage limiting to reach the full voltage... Send me a photo of the spec sticker on the charger... johannes at brighter-lights.com Regards Jo Thanks so much for the offer, I contacted Omnico yesterday and they said they were going to send me a replacement charger. Just waiting to see if it arrives. If it doesn't, I'll defintely give you a call. Thanks again!!!
  19. I bought an Ellies charger from Builder's Warehouse today and it seems to do the trick. Lights come on and everything seems to work fine. But if it's risky to use then I'd rather try and find the Blackburn one. - Just don't feel like forking out another R500!!!!
  20. The manual says it's a 'Supercharger' but it doesn't look too special to me!! I'll try an electronics shop tomorrow and see what they've got. Thanks for all the help!!
  21. Think it's the 'smart' charger. Any idea where I can find one? What sort of shop? Does it have to be the 'smart' charger?
  22. Thanks OneTime. I'll try Ellies tommorrow. I can get one from CRC but it's an additional cost and more time wasted. good thing it's not winter!!! Thanks for all the help!
