  1. Agreed, but if the tyre has been on a while it can get tough - I suppose which sealant you are using, I have had it where I nearly broke a poep string breaking the bead.
  2. If the sealant has glued the tyre to the rim you need to take both thumbs and press the side of the tyre away from the rim as hard as possible to break the bead - I mean press hard !!. If you are a Sharks supporter you will probaly be tough enough to do it, remember our players are too tough for Rugby (Bismark).
  3. Beat you
  4. Are you sure its not a tubeless setup and the sealant is not glueing the tyre to the rim - can be a battle sometimes to unseat the tyre. Are you using tyre levers?
  5. I think its a tyre that sticks out into the sea and you can walk and fish of it.
  6. Could not agree more, at the time did not have a choice with finances:( - still would like to buy her back, maybe must make a plan !!
  7. Was a stunning bike, miss it, very tempted to buy it back.
  8. He will feel at home in the team, thats for sure. Strange, if Tinkoff comes on board as a sponser for an American team there is a plenty of ex Soviet Union participation in the team with all the Slovakian riders as well. So much for the Cold War.
  9. New report - not sure how accurate, translated from Italian so the grammer is a little off: Cannondale becomes completely american. The news, for the moment is not official, but sources close to the American colossus confirm us that the American company has purchased the management company Brixia Sport of Paul Zani (in the photo, ndr). The management company will remain in Italy, but also to honor contracts that have already been signed, for the season 2014. Cannondale has also entered into an agreement with Oleg Tinkov that joins as a sponsor in the coming weeks the leaders of the team will decide whether Tinkoff will be the first or the second sponsor of the training that, with the arrival of the Russian magnate, is therefore important new resources in order to revive and strengthen. Closes so the parentheses - lasted just over a year - Paul Zani who ferried the company from Liquigas to Cannondale.
  10. Excellent !!
  11. A couple of months ago CSA stated they would support who ever Africa is supporting - in this case Fat Pat

    Rugby...

Nothing confirmed yet, nice synopsis of the situation below: The only confirmed fact that we have so far is that Jake White has been released from the final two years of his coaching gig at the Brumbies. Various sources have intimated that Jake asked to be released early after he couldn’t reconcile his disappointment over not getting the Australian national coaching post, despite being asked to apply. That, as far as I can tell, is really just speculation and since White himself hasn’t actually gone on the record about any of this, we simply don’t know what his motivation is at this stage. It didn’t take long before the speculation-fueled media machine went into frenzy – the thinking being that “if Jake White is looking for a coaching job, then surely every South African franchise that exists must be falling over themselves to offer him a Director of Rugby position, regardless of whether somebody else currently fulfills that role for them.” He was immediately linked to both the Stormers and the Sharks, before WP quickly acted to deny that there was any interest from their side. That’s when the “Jake White will be Sharks Director of Rugby” stories started to appear. Let’s be quite frank, though. Not a single one of those stories has any verifiable source – or even so much as a quote from anyone at the Sharks suggesting that Jake White has been appointed as so much as a tea lady. My reading of the situation is that the Sharks were just as surprised by White’s resignation yesterday as the Brumbies were. All that we have to go on here is an expression of interest from Sharks CEO John Smit. Here’s what Smit sent me this morning: “Bud, been inundated with calls about Jake, so let me just say that we have a definite plan for the Sharks. Could Jake White add value to our plans if available? Without doubt he could – he has an amazing track record and ability and we would welcome the opportunity to speak to him if it should arise.” Now, that doesn’t sound to me like a confirmation that he’s the new Sharks coach, but according to Smit, the door is very much ajar should Jake be willing and able to play a role.

  16. Rather look hideous than be a good looking well dressed corpse !!
  17. The fork pressure is fine, no wonder he is dumping his rubbish, he is trying to lighten the load by getting rid of excess ballast.
  18. Very sharp  Hopefully the OP of the advert did not end up upside down on the bike.
  19. My last road bike - Dale of course has ended up here on the hub: http://www.thehubsa....dale-caad-58cm/ Just to prove I used to do road until the voices late one night told me to cross over to the dark side !!
  20. Welcome to the Hub. Do you do other Road Races or only the Argus. I see you list your interests as MtB. If this is your prime focus? Then I would look at possibly an upgrade to a 29er - will help your Argus time. If you are happy with your 26er keep it and use it once a year for the Argus - have fun. If you feel you would like to do more road races by all means look at a road bike as well.

    Rugby...

Good news - hope he can stay injury free for a while, been a long time since we have seen him play.
  22. True, not sure how many Leaky riders are there, possibly some from Italy - will have to check.
  23. Sagan does not have the strongest team to depend on (Slovakia) and I wonder if he did ever pull it off, what of the Curse of the Rainbow jersey - maybe he will break it !! Go Mr Sagan !!!!!!!!!!
  24. Cool - Welcome to the hub and glad you can enjoy off road on your MTB.
  25. Are you sure your cleats are not worn? You do know that there are two ways you can place the cleats - 1 way for easy access, the other way holds the shoe in more firmly. I also took up MTB after injuring my knee in Motocross/Enduro racing.
