  4. Some new track running along the stream to take you underneath the tar road (R513) is a very nice vantage point for spectators within walking distance of the start, the riders need 3km to get there.
  5. Squier, yes it is still two laps of 35km, the climbs and single track still make it a pleasure to do two laps see you staurday
  6. Craig, Here are the profiles for the various distances [attachment=148406:

  10. Riaan, I am glad you enjoyed it with your mate, RR, i was there doing the timing and also asked to take the role of Commissaire at this race and all riders that started had helmets on. I had one guy who as he approached the finnish he removed his helmet, i warned him that this is not allowed according to rules and could have DQ him. All in all it was a good first outing for the school in presenting this race. Mods, can you merge the two threads Cheers Clive
  11. Hennie, CSA has approved the founding of South African Schools Cycling in all its disciplines, ie Road, Track, MTB, BMX and Paracycling. I think that the task ahead will be to get all invollved and hence the PBHS has just started this, You being from Affies, why not see if you can get the ball rolling there and have inter school races the same as the rugby that takes place yearly. Pm me if you need more details Cheers Clive
  12. Hi, A 6km route in the school grounds The was XC with 4 laps for 24 km and 2 laps for 12km and last 6km. The differnce here was that the route was not closed after the winners finsihed but kept open so that all could experience the fun in racing this format.

  14. VoriBerg and USN on the 27th October Guys, I have moved the Vori-Berg race from the 27th October to 6th October as it was on the same dayas the USN one. Problems with calendar dates when one race falls under Gauteng North and the other is in Central Gauteng, Hope to see you all here for the race
  15. Yes we will have to move them up in category, or give them a handicap of starting later than the group
  16. Nice meeting you although one would want to spend more time chatting
  17. Appologies for the waterpoing vanishing, Give me an idea as to what sort of cut off time we should consider? Glad you enjoyed it, The next race oin october we hope to have the tar road crossing removed and a new section of track that will take you under the road once again. cheers Clive
  18. Results 11.8.2012.pdf Should there be any queries please mail me at clivedhardy@gmail.com so that i can rectify it. Cheers Clive
  19. RR, Yes we found the lady, when she entered she said that she is capable of doing 20km and this would be a challenge on 35km. She also said that she will phone us if not able to make it. Noe the less she enjoyed her battle with Vori-Berg as i think she would of managed quite easily on Babbas Lodge route. Regarding the marshalls and waterpoint vanishing, the gentleman that i used closed the route down from possibly the wrong side, my appologies for this. Sugesting a cut off time, what would you guy's suggest? I have a system in place where i check that each rider that started has returned and if nit we go searching. Thanks for your support Clive
  20. It is indeed looking great, post #22 is a technical decent with a switchback and a further drop off into the area below, not to demanding as my 15yr old daughter negoiated it sucessfully. the picture in #21 is takenin the direction where you were coming from, a little bit of a climb The one major plus for us is that from the start we do not have to travel along the main road into oncoming traffic, but there is a new surprize as we pass underneath the main road.
  21. The weather is looking pretty fine in our area as can be seen by the wonderful blue sky. Late entries will be accepted on the day "NO PENALTY FEE FOR LATE ENTRY" Bring the family and come and enjoy the day with us. See you all Cheers Clive
