  2. Michelle Quote"The only thing the Club 100 manager was worried about was his 5km rotation schedule... oh, and trying to look kewl in his BMW convertible... epic failure..." Michelle, Not picking a fight with you but would like to point out the general consensus of the team managers that are envollved with the Vets 30 - 39 racing. We always work on a 5km rotation, we do talk to one another should the comm give info that needs to be passed on. We always ask permission to feed or asist and dont just try and pass the comm, further one cannot take photo's while driving in convoy and try to keep an eye open for cyclist approaching from the back in rying to regain contact with the bunch. Another point that is important if the break has a gap of 30 seconds or more we can move up to the break. should this break be brought back we need to move out immediately. Welcome to the Vet's racing group and i am sure you will enjoy it with us
  3. Pity about your team manager What about MTN Team Manager?
  4. Hi All Yes this was not nice to have cyclists get knocked down by a Police Van on our 1st race that we presented. We are busy with the relevant authorities and will keep you informed as we proceed. Thanks Clive Hardy Organiser
  5. "The Pirate - Yes i loved that bike. Got mine from Auto Extra in Pretoria with my first pay check. The orginal paintwork was black with purple "cobweb" over it - that lighten up when the sun was right. How cool we were " Well guy's my first bike was a red and white Alpina reynolds 501 tubing with shimano exage i think, bought it from a mate. The next bike was a Bridgestone RB1 blue in colour also bought from Auto Xtra in the late 80's. After that i got the Pinarello Treviso with Columbus sl tubing and a full shimano 600 group set. still got this bike. Pirate, i frequented Auto Xtra in that time as they were clients of the bank i worked for, pop me a pm with your details.Team SL2008-11-27 02:42:51
  6. Alida, Mampara is correct in that you switch it on with the two buttons on the back. To record your ride you need to start the computer by using the buttons on your sti levers, either left or right As this unit measures cadence etc you also need to program the various sizes of the cassette that you are using, 12-25 cassette with a 39 - 53 front chain ring. I have a manual for this computer as we use it on our tandem.
  7. Craig, Congrats on the the new family addition. I am sure that you will enjoy every minute with her. On behalf of the Cyclelab Vets 30+ team a big congratulations.

  12. Would love but not at this stage will contact you again
  13. Mr Look, if you look at my steed https://www.bikehub.co.za/forum_posts.asp?TID=18205d you will be glad to see that i am still using the Look Carbon Pro pedals bought way back in 89. They were red but decided that a new colour is needed. So if you are kind you can throw a pair of Keo's my way to bling my ride further, however you would have to up the deal to 4 sets as all the bikes have look pedals on them and i am no fan of changing pedals on an ongoing basis.
